JBL Audio and a 6,500mAh Battery Give Infinix Note Edge a Sharper Identity

Infinix is pushing the Note Edge JBL Edition beyond the usual mid-range formula by leaning hard into entertainment. The limited model combines JBL-tuned stereo audio with a bundled wireless speaker, turning the phone into a more complete media package than most rivals at the same price.

The approach is notable because the device does not try to win attention through an entirely new design or a radically different chipset. Instead, Infinix is using audio, battery life, and a limited-run bundle to create a clearer reason for buyers to look twice.

Audio is the main selling point

The biggest difference in the JBL Edition is its dual stereo speaker setup, which has been tuned by JBL and supports Hi-Res Audio. Infinix also includes a MagPower Speaker in the sales package, giving users an external audio accessory without requiring a separate purchase.

That bundled speaker is said to be worth around 3,999 Indian rupees, or roughly Rp700 ribuan. For a mid-range device, the addition makes the package feel more focused on immediate entertainment use rather than simple hardware specifications.

In a market where many phones compete on camera counts and processor names, the JBL partnership helps Infinix speak directly to users who care about music, video streaming, and gaming audio. It is a straightforward differentiation tactic, but one that fits the device’s overall positioning.

Large battery, bright display, and familiar hardware

Beyond the audio changes, the Note Edge JBL Edition keeps the same base hardware as the regular Note Edge sold in India in February 2026. Infinix has not changed the core platform, choosing instead to layer a stronger identity on top of an existing model.

The phone uses a 6.78-inch 3D curved AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Infinix says the panel is among the thinnest curved AMOLED screens in its class, while the phone itself measures about 7.2 mm thick and reaches up to 4,500 nits of brightness.

Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protects the display. The overall package suggests a device built for users who want a large, smooth screen that remains readable in bright conditions.

Built for long viewing sessions and gaming

Inside, the phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. That combination is aimed at day-to-day multitasking, content playback, and efficient mid-range gaming rather than flagship-level performance.

Infinix says the device can support gameplay at up to 90fps in compatible games. It also includes AI gaming optimization, a feature already present on the standard Note Edge, which is meant to improve the gaming experience without changing the hardware formula.

The 6,500mAh battery is another major draw. It supports 45W fast charging and 10W reverse charging, making the phone better suited for long streaming sessions, extended gaming, and users who simply want fewer top-ups during the day.

Cameras, software, and durability features

For imaging, the Note Edge JBL Edition carries a 50MP main camera and a 13MP front camera. The setup is modest compared with the audio and battery story, but it stays in line with the phone’s broader mid-range positioning.

The device runs XOS 16 based on Android 16. Infinix says the Note Edge line will receive up to three years of operating system updates and five years of security updates.

It also comes with IP65 certification for resistance to dust and splashes. Other included features are NFC, an in-display fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 5.4, and 5G connectivity.

Price and limited availability

Infinix is selling the Note Edge JBL Edition in a single configuration with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The official price is 24.999 rupees in India, or around Rp4,7 jutaan.

The phone is available only in Solar Orange and is sold exclusively through Flipkart. Infinix says production is limited to 5,000 units, which gives the model a more collectible appeal than a standard mass-market release.
