Moto G Max 5G enters Motorola’s midrange lineup with a rare mix of ambitions: a 200MP main camera, a large AMOLED display, and durability ratings that are usually associated with tougher devices. The phone is now on sale in selected global markets, with Motorola Brazil opening official online sales.
That positioning is reinforced by a single, high-spec variant. Motorola is offering only one configuration, pairing 8GB of RAM with 256GB of internal storage, at BRL 2,519.10.
Camera system takes the lead
The biggest talking point is the rear camera setup. Moto G Max 5G uses a dual-camera arrangement led by a 200MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, optical image stabilization, and digital zoom up to 10x.
Supporting that main sensor is an 8MP ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 120-degree field of view. On the front, Motorola includes a 32MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture for video calls and self-portraits.
Video capture is also positioned above basic everyday use. The device supports recording at up to 2K resolution at 30fps.
Large display, slim body, and stronger protection
The front of the phone is built around a 6.8-inch 1.5K Super HD display with a resolution of 1,272 x 2,772 pixels. Motorola uses an Extreme AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness rated up to 5,000 nits.
Protection comes from Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, while the overall body measures 164.58 x 77.37 x 7.38mm and weighs about 183 grams. Despite the slim profile, Motorola gives the phone IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, plus Military-Grade 810H certification.
Performance, software, and daily use
Inside, Moto G Max 5G runs Android 16 with Hello UI and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 octa-core 6nm chipset. The processor reaches up to 2.5GHz and works with an ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.
The phone also includes an in-display fingerprint reader and face unlock for security. Additional sensors include an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and e-compass.
Battery and connectivity round out the package
A 5,200mAh battery keeps the device going, and 33W wired fast charging is supported through USB Type-C. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.4.
Motorola also provides GPS, Glonass, Galileo, QZSS, and BeiDou for navigation. With dual-SIM support, a big AMOLED screen, a high-resolution camera, and a durable build, Moto G Max 5G is clearly aimed at buyers who want one midrange phone to cover most priorities without stepping into flagship pricing.
