Honda’s reported Supra X 160 R is drawing attention because it pushes the traditional underbone formula into more aggressive territory. The model keeps the practical identity that long defined the Supra name, but adds a 160cc engine and a more modern equipment list that could change expectations in the segment.

That combination matters because the motorbike market has long associated the bebek class with efficiency, durability, and simple ownership. By adding more power without abandoning daily usability, Honda appears to be aiming at riders who want a commuter bike with stronger performance credentials.

More power, but efficiency still matters

The most notable change is the engine setup. The Supra X 160 R is said to use a fuel-injected 160cc engine with liquid cooling, a specification that places it above the usual range for the class.

According to the reported figures, output reaches 15.8 PS with peak torque of 14.7 Nm. Those numbers position it as one of the stronger underbone models in its category, while fuel use is still presented as a key advantage.

Honda is also said to keep the bike efficient for everyday riding, with claimed consumption of around 40 to 45 kilometers per liter. That figure may vary depending on road conditions and riding style, but it reinforces the model’s commuter-first positioning.

Design moves toward a sharper look

Beyond the engine, the styling shifts toward a more assertive character. The front LED headlamp uses a sharper shape, while the body lines are more defined than those on earlier Supra models.

The bike also uses 17-inch wheels and a slimmer rear section. The overall result is a design that looks more modern and sporty without losing the familiar practicality expected from a bebek.

Modern features target daily riders

The equipment list is another area where the model tries to stand out. Honda is reported to include a digital instrument panel, full LED lighting, and Smart Key System as part of the package.

On selected variants, Bluetooth connectivity is also mentioned. For braking, Honda is said to prepare CBS and ABS options, giving buyers a choice between basic support and a more confident stopping setup.

Price places it in a tougher battleground

The Supra X 160 R is reportedly expected to sell in the range of Rp33 million to Rp40 million. The final figure would depend on the variant and the feature set chosen by the buyer.

That pricing would place it in the crowded 150–160cc field, where performance-oriented models already hold strong appeal. In that setting, the Supra X 160 R would not compete only as a practical commuter, but also as a more powerful alternative with a fuller feature list.

For riders who still value easy daily use, the appeal lies in how Honda tries to balance familiar efficiency with a larger engine and more modern tech.
