Honor X70 Pro Max Leans on a Huge 8,560 mAh Battery and 90W Charging

Honor has introduced the X70 Pro Max in China with a clear focus on endurance. The standout feature is its 8,560 mAh battery, a capacity that places it well above many mid-range Android phones still staying near the 6,000 mAh to 7,000 mAh range.

That large battery is paired with 90 watt fast charging, giving the device a practical answer to the usual trade-off between long battery life and slow refueling. For users who care about staying unplugged longer, the combination is the most striking part of the phone.

Built Around Display and Everyday Comfort

Beyond battery life, Honor equips the X70 Pro Max with a 6.79-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,640 x 1,200 pixels. The panel also supports 3,840 Hz PWM dimming and reaches a peak brightness of up to 6,000 nits.

Those figures suggest a display designed for strong outdoor visibility and more comfortable long viewing sessions. Honor also includes several eye-protection features aimed at reducing strain during extended use.

Performance, Software, and Storage Options

Inside, the phone runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 Enhanced Edition chipset. Honor pairs it with 8 GB of RAM and storage options of up to 512 GB, placing the device firmly in the upper end of the mid-range segment.

The X70 Pro Max ships with MagicOS 10.0 based on Android 16. That software choice gives the phone a relatively current platform to match its hardware focus on battery life and durability.

Durability Is Part of the Pitch

Honor also gives the phone an unusually strong set of protection ratings. The X70 Pro Max carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications at the same time.

In practical terms, that means the device is built to handle dust, splashes, and even high-pressure water exposure. The combination of four certifications is one of the reasons the model stands out in the mid-range category.

Cameras, Pricing, and Color Choices

The rear camera setup is led by a 50 MP main camera with EIS support, while the front camera uses an 8 MP sensor. Rather than chasing a highly ambitious photography system, Honor appears to have prioritized balance across the entire package.

In China, pricing starts at 1,999 yuan for the 8 GB/256 GB version. A higher 8 GB/512 GB model is listed at 2,399 yuan.

Honor also offers four color options: Phantom Purple, Sunburst Gold, Bamboo Green, and Phantom Night Black. The phone was launched quietly in China on Monday, June 15, 2026, and Honor has not said whether it will be sold outside China, including in Indonesia.

For now, the X70 Pro Max is positioned as a mid-range phone that tries to win on endurance, durability, and display brightness rather than headline camera specs. Its battery size, 90W charging support, and extensive protection ratings make that strategy immediately visible.
