The latest leak comes from Digital Chat Station on Weibo, and it places the display at the center of the phone’s appeal. If accurate, the decision would mark a notable change in direction, especially for a device expected to sit near the top of OnePlus’s lineup.
A display built around balance, not extremes
The rumored panel is said to be sourced from BOE, the Chinese display maker. It is also described as a 6.78-inch screen with 1.5K resolution, putting the phone in the large-screen flagship category without pushing into a heavier resolution class.
Compared with the OnePlus 15 display, the new panel is said to offer higher brightness, wider color coverage, and lower power consumption. That combination matters because very high refresh rates can place added pressure on power management and panel efficiency.
