Oppo has opened pre-orders for the Reno16 Series in Indonesia, and the appeal is not limited to the phones themselves. The company is offering total benefits worth up to Rp 5.1 million, making the early purchase period one of the most aggressive promotion phases ahead of the official market launch.
The package combines device protection, exchange deals, operator promos, and bundled gifts. For buyers waiting for the next Reno generation, the pre-order window is also notable because Oppo has not yet confirmed which variants will be sold in Indonesia.
A promotion built to pull early buyers in
The headline incentive in the pre-order program is a bundle that includes a Star Trail Journey Gift Set valued at Rp 999,000. Oppo is also adding a two-year device warranty worth Rp 299,000 and a 180-Day New Replacement Warranty worth Rp 699,000.
Beyond that, consumers can get cashback trade-in benefits of up to Rp 2 million. Oppo is also offering 0% installment plans, including installment fees, down payment, and administration charges, along with special deals from IM3, Telkomsel, and XL Prioritas.
This mix of gifts, protection, and financing support is designed to strengthen the pre-order offer before the series reaches wider retail circulation. In practical terms, the company is using early incentives to build demand while details about the full Indonesia lineup remain under wraps.
What Oppo has confirmed so far
According to Oppo Indonesia, the Reno16 Series is focused on design, AI experience, and camera capability for young users who want more room for creativity. CMO Oppo Indonesia Jiang Linlin said the Reno line has long been positioned not only as a technology platform, but also as a medium for self-expression.
For Indonesia, Oppo says the Reno16 Series will use a 3D Planet Design. The company describes it as the first of its kind in the industry, with a 3D optical effect on the back panel that can be seen with the naked eye.
The company has also confirmed that the series will bring AI Kolase Mix, a feature that lets users combine photos and videos into a single visual creation. A 50 MP Ultra-Wide selfie camera is also set to be part of the lineup, promising a wider angle and sharper front-camera detail.
Two models launched first in China
The Reno16 Series made its global debut in China at the end of May, where Oppo introduced two models: the Reno16 and Reno16 Pro. That launch offers the clearest current picture of what the lineup can deliver, even though the Indonesian version has not been fully detailed.
In China, the Reno16 Pro comes with a 6.78-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness said to reach 3,600 nits. It also carries a 7,000 mAh battery while keeping a slim body at around 7.8 mm thick.
Performance is handled by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s, paired with a ShanHai communication chip, a Wi-Fi accelerator, and a nano-ice crystal cooling system. On the camera side, the Reno16 Pro uses a 200 MP OIS main camera, a 50 MP OIS periscope telephoto, a 50 MP ultrawide lens, and a 50 MP front camera.
Oppo also equips the Pro model with Natural Tone Engine and Live Photo support across all cameras. Charging support includes 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging, while Wi-Fi 7, NFC, an IR Blaster, and IP69K certification round out the feature set.
The regular Reno16 keeps a more compact footprint with a 6.32-inch OLED 120Hz display, a weight of about 188 grams, and a thickness of 8.3 mm. It runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super, together with the same ShanHai chip, Wi-Fi accelerator, and nano-ice crystal cooling system.
Its camera setup is said to match the Pro version, including a 200 MP OIS main camera, a 50 MP OIS periscope telephoto, a 50 MP ultrawide camera, and a 50 MP selfie camera. The standard model also features Natural Tone Engine and Live Photo support across all cameras, while power comes from a 6,700 mAh Glacier Battery with 80W fast charging.
BABYMONSTER joins the global push
Alongside the Reno16 launch, Oppo named BABYMONSTER as its newest global Reno Ambassador. The move reinforces the company’s effort to keep the Reno line tied to youth culture, content creation, and a more personal smartphone identity.
Overseas CMO Oppo Ling Liu said the Reno Series continues to evolve as a smartphone that combines advanced technology with personal character and creative expression. Oppo says the partnership with BABYMONSTER fits that direction because the Reno16 Series blends signature Reno design with AI-based photography and content tools.
For Indonesian buyers, the immediate focus remains the pre-order package and the still-open question of which models will actually arrive. That uncertainty, paired with a bonus package worth up to Rp 5.1 million, is likely to keep attention on the Reno16 Series until Oppo reveals more.
