OnePlus Pad 3 Pro Packs Flagship Power, But Its China-Only Launch Leaves Buyers Waiting

OnePlus has introduced the OnePlus Pad 3 Pro in China as its most powerful tablet yet, but the biggest talking point is not just performance. The device appears to be aimed exclusively at the Chinese market, leaving global buyers without a clear path to purchase it.

That limited availability gives the launch an unusual edge. OnePlus is pushing flagship-grade hardware into its tablet line, yet many markets still cannot access the model that carries the strongest specifications.

Flagship performance at the center

The OnePlus Pad 3 Pro sits above the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro, which debuted in China in May 2025. Its hardware is closely related to the globally available OnePlus Pad 4, but this newer version is positioned for domestic buyers in China.

At the heart of the tablet is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, currently described as the company’s most powerful chip. OnePlus pairs it with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.

Large display, productivity focus

The tablet uses a 13.2-inch LCD panel with a 7:5 aspect ratio and a resolution of 3392 x 2400 pixels. It also supports an adaptive refresh rate from 30Hz to 144Hz, with peak brightness rated at 1,000 nits.

OnePlus says the display covers 98 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut, which should help with content consumption and visual work. The company is also leaning heavily into productivity with ColorOS 16 and features such as PC-like WPS Office, file management tools, cross-device screen sharing, and shared keyboard and mouse support.

AI tools are included as well, with functions for note-taking, translation, and content creation. That positions the tablet as more than a media device, especially for users who want mobile work features in a large-screen format.

Big battery, slim body

Despite its large display, the OnePlus Pad 3 Pro keeps a thin profile at 5.94 mm and weighs about 672 grams. OnePlus also equips it with a 13,380mAh battery and 67W fast charging, a combination that should suit long sessions on a tablet of this size.

The camera setup is modest, with a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. It also includes eight speakers and two microphones, plus support for a stylus, face unlock, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB 3.2 Gen 1.

Prices and variants

The tablet is available in Dark Brown and Light Green. In China, pricing starts at 4,399 Yuan for the 12GB + 256GB version.

The 12GB + 512GB model is priced at 4,899 Yuan, while the top configuration with 16GB + 512GB costs 5,399 Yuan. For now, the strongest appeal of the OnePlus Pad 3 Pro is also its biggest limitation: it remains effectively tied to China, even as its hardware looks ready for a wider audience.
