Lenovo has expanded its Aurora gaming lineup with the GH15, a wireless headset that tries to cover as many use cases as possible without pushing into a premium price bracket. Priced at 249 yuan in China, it combines RGB sync, a detachable microphone, and a 1000mAh battery in one package.

The most eye-catching part is not just the lighting, but the way Lenovo is positioning the headset as part of a wider gaming setup. Aurora GH15 is designed to work with Lenovo’s compatible ecosystem, giving it an added appeal for users who already own Legion laptops, keyboards, or mousepads.

Four connection modes for different devices

Lenovo gives the Aurora GH15 an unusually broad set of connection options. Users can switch between 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, a Type-C 2.4GHz adapter, and a 3.5mm wired connection depending on the device and scenario.

That flexibility makes the headset suitable for PCs, smartphones, tablets, and even Nintendo Switch through the Type-C wireless adapter. Lenovo also says the headset supports quick switching between paired devices, reducing the need to repeat pairing steps every time the user changes source.

For gaming, the low-latency wireless mode is one of the key selling points. Lenovo claims latency can go as low as 25ms, while the wireless connection is said to remain stable at distances of up to 10 meters in open space without obstacles.

RGB sync brings it into the Aurora ecosystem

The lighting system is built to sync with Lenovo Aurora-compatible gear, which is where the GH15 tries to stand out from ordinary budget gaming headsets. Through Aurora software, users can adjust the lighting effects and sync them across devices with a single click.

The RGB effects are also designed to respond dynamically during gameplay, music playback, or system startup. That gives the headset a more integrated visual role on the desk, especially for users who prefer a coordinated Lenovo setup.

Gaming-focused audio with 40mm drivers

Under the shell, Lenovo uses 40mm dynamic drivers tuned for gaming and entertainment. The company says the headset offers a wide soundstage and accurate directional audio, which should help with cues such as footsteps, gunfire, and other in-game details.

This tuning is aimed at competitive titles where positional audio matters, including PUBG and Counter-Strike 2. Lenovo also includes a dedicated acoustic chamber intended to strengthen low-end impact while keeping vocals clear and high frequencies detailed.

The listed audio specifications include a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz, an impedance of 32Ω ±15%, and sensitivity of 96 ±3dB at 1kHz. Those figures place the GH15 in line with a gaming headset designed for everyday play and media use rather than audiophile listening.

Detachable microphone and practical comfort features

Communication gets support from a 360-degree microphone that can be removed when it is not needed. Lenovo also includes ENC, or Environmental Noise Cancellation, to help reduce background noise during voice chats and multiplayer sessions.

The microphone can be adjusted to different angles for better voice pickup, which should make it more practical for gaming and calls. When detached, the headset presents a cleaner look that is easier to use as an everyday accessory.

Comfort has also been part of the design brief. The GH15 uses a high-strength stainless steel headband, protein leather ear cushions, and a lightweight ergonomic structure intended to reduce pressure during longer sessions.

Lenovo says the ear pads are breathable to help limit heat buildup, and the foldable design should make the headset easier to store or carry in a backpack or laptop bag.

Battery life, colors, and availability

The headset is powered by a built-in 1000mAh battery and charges through USB Type-C. Lenovo is offering the Aurora GH15 in Black and White, giving buyers a simple color choice to match different setups.

With its detachable mic, RGB sync, multiple connection modes, and low-latency wireless performance, the GH15 is clearly aimed at users who want a flexible gaming headset without paying a high-end price. Lenovo Aurora GH15 Gaming Headset is now available in China through JD.com at 249 yuan.
