OnePlus Nord 6 Leaves Nothing Phone (4a) Pro Behind, Except in Camera Zoom

Author: Qoo Media

OnePlus Nord 6 and Nothing Phone (4a) Pro are positioned in a close price range, but their priorities diverge sharply. OnePlus is built around raw speed, a massive battery, and faster charging, while Nothing leans on premium materials and a more flexible camera setup.

That split makes the comparison easy to understand for buyers. Anyone who wants stronger hardware value will notice OnePlus immediately, while users who care about optical zoom, design identity, and software support may still find Nothing appealing.

Performance gives OnePlus the clearest edge

OnePlus Nord 6 uses the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, while Nothing Phone (4a) Pro runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. That gap places the OnePlus model in a stronger position for demanding tasks and gaming.

The graphics side follows the same pattern. Nord 6 pairs its chipset with the Adreno 825 GPU, compared with Adreno 722 on the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro.

Storage also favors OnePlus, since Nord 6 uses UFS 4.1 while Nothing remains on UFS 3.1. The stronger memory configuration extends to capacity as well, with Nord 6 offering up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, while Nothing Phone (4a) Pro tops out at 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.

Battery and charging are also heavily tilted toward Nord 6

One of the biggest differences is battery capacity. OnePlus Nord 6 carries a 7500mAh battery in the global version and 9000mAh for India, far ahead of the 5080mAh global and 5400mAh India figures on Nothing Phone (4a) Pro.

Charging speed further strengthens that lead. Nord 6 supports 80W wired charging and bypass charging, while Nothing Phone (4a) Pro offers 50W wired charging.

For users who game while plugged in, bypass charging is a practical addition. Reverse charging is closer between the two, with Nothing offering 7.5W reverse wired on the global model, while OnePlus lists 6.5W globally and 27W for India.

Camera trade-offs define the Nothing counterpoint

The camera comparison is more balanced, although the strengths are different. OnePlus Nord 6 includes a 50MP main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide, but it does not include a telephoto lens.

Nothing Phone (4a) Pro responds with a 50MP OIS main camera, a 50MP periscope camera, and an 8MP ultrawide. Its 3.5x optical zoom is the standout feature and gives it a clear advantage for distant subjects.

Ultrawide hardware is identical at 8MP on both phones. The front camera also matches at 32MP, but OnePlus adds autofocus and 4K video support, while Nothing limits selfie video recording to 1080p.

On rear video, the two phones again take different routes. OnePlus Nord 6 supports up to 4K 60fps, while Nothing Phone (4a) Pro offers 4K 30fps with Dolby Vision HDR.

Display quality and build take different forms

OnePlus Nord 6 uses a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate and 3600 nits peak brightness. Nothing Phone (4a) Pro counters with a larger 6.83-inch AMOLED panel, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a higher 5000 nits peak brightness.

That means OnePlus is the faster panel, while Nothing is the brighter one. The choice depends on whether the buyer values smoother motion or stronger outdoor visibility.

Build materials also separate the two devices. Nothing Phone (4a) Pro uses a glass front, aluminium frame, and aluminium back, with Glyph LEDs giving it a distinct identity.

OnePlus Nord 6 uses a glass front with a plastic frame and plastic back, but it is the more durable device overall. It carries IP68/IP69K protection and MIL-STD-810H certification, while Nothing Phone (4a) Pro is rated IP65 only.

Screen protection also favors OnePlus, which uses OnePlus Crystal Guard with Mohs level 8. Nothing relies on Gorilla Glass 7i with Mohs level 5.

Connectivity and software support complete the picture

Nord 6 comes with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and an IR blaster, giving it a more modern connectivity package. Nothing Phone (4a) Pro uses Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 instead.

Both phones ship with Android 16, but Nothing has the clearer software commitment through Nothing OS 4.1 and three OS upgrades. That gives it an advantage for buyers who prioritize long-term system support.

Pricing remains close enough to make the hardware differences matter. OnePlus Nord 6 is priced around $460 or ₹39,000, while Nothing Phone (4a) Pro sits at about $500 or ₹40,000.

At that distance, Nord 6 looks like the stronger all-round buy for performance, endurance, and charging speed. Nothing Phone (4a) Pro still stands out for premium materials, periscope zoom, and a more defined software promise.
