Vivo X Fold 6 Faces a Sharp Price Jump, 7,000mAh Battery Steals the Spotlight

Vivo X Fold 6 is expected to arrive in China this week with a starting price of CNY 9,999. That positioning immediately stands out, because it would push Vivo’s book-style foldable into a more premium bracket than its predecessor.

The most striking part of the latest leak is not only the price. It is the combination of four memory variants and a rumored 7,000mAh battery, which suggests Vivo is aiming at buyers who want both high-end performance and unusually strong endurance.

Four storage options at a higher tier

The pricing details were shared by tipster Tech Little Q on Weibo. According to the leak, Vivo X Fold 6 will come in four configurations for the China market.

The base model is said to feature 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for CNY 9,999. Above that, the 12GB + 512GB version is reportedly set at CNY 10,999.

Two higher trims are also said to be on the way. The 16GB + 512GB model is tipped at CNY 11,499, while the top-end 16GB + 1TB variant is expected to reach CNY 12,499.

That pricing would mark a notable jump across the entire lineup compared with Vivo X Fold 5. For a foldable phone already positioned in the premium segment, the new figures suggest Vivo is pushing even harder into flagship territory.

A bigger battery than most foldables

Another major detail tied to the device is its battery. The latest leak points to a 7,000mAh unit, a capacity that would place it among the more ambitious foldable battery setups currently rumored.

That figure also aligns with an earlier statement from Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao, who had already confirmed that the phone would carry a battery larger than 6,000mAh. The size matters because foldable phones typically have to balance large displays, multitasking demands, and power consumption.

Vivo X Fold 6 is even said to deliver up to 9.8 hours of heavy use on a single charge. If that claim proves accurate in real-world use, battery life could become one of the phone’s most persuasive selling points.

Software and launch timing are already taking shape

On the software side, the device is expected to run OriginOS 6 Fold based on Android 16. That would give the foldable a software foundation built specifically for a large-screen, multi-panel experience.

The phone is also said to ship with the same four storage configurations mentioned above, including the 16GB RAM and 1TB storage model for users who want the most capacity available. Combined with the battery rumor, the package points to a device built for demanding power users rather than a modest upgrade.

Vivo has already scheduled the launch event for June 26 at 7:00 pm local time in China. With the debut only days away, the remaining question is whether the leaked pricing and battery details will match the final official announcement.
