Oppo has started rolling out the June update for ColorOS 16 in India, and the package is notable for putting football information closer to the home screen. The new sports widget can display tournament schedules, live scores, and match updates directly on the Home Screen and Shelf.

The update is aimed at making everyday phone use more practical. It also adds security and convenience features that broaden the scope of the software refresh beyond entertainment.

Football updates without opening an app

The most visible addition is the sports widget, which lets users track football tournament schedules, scores, and live match updates without switching apps. Oppo also says AI-based suggestions can surface match information automatically before a game starts.

That approach is designed to reduce the need to open a dedicated sports app just to check a score. With Shelf support, the same information can be reached from another easy-access part of the interface.

Audio sharing and smarter app access

ColorOS 16 also introduces Audio Sharing, a feature that allows one compatible Oppo phone to connect to two Bluetooth earphones at the same time. The feature is suited to shared listening, such as watching a film or hearing music together from a single device.

The app drawer also gains a small but useful change in Categories, where Oppo now shows app recommendations based on usage patterns. The update is meant to make frequently used apps faster to open.

Security alerts and outdoor tools

On the security side, Oppo has added Accessibility Security Alerts. The system sends a notification when an app from an unknown source gets Accessibility access, and users can revoke that permission directly from the alert.

The update also expands Weather with moonrise, moonset, and moon phase information. For people who spend more time outside, Outdoor Mode now supports up to four favorite apps and offers smoother app switching, along with improved location response.

Gamers are not left out either, as Game Capture now supports 2K screenshots for higher-resolution saves of gameplay moments. Together, these additions make the June package feel broader than a routine maintenance update.

According to Oppo, the rollout began on 1 June and will continue gradually until 30 June for eligible devices. That means availability will vary by phone, even though the deployment is already underway in India.
