OPPO is preparing the Reno 16 Series for the Indonesian market, with a launch scheduled for 3 July 2026. The lineup has drawn attention for its 3D Planet Design, which OPPO says is the first of its kind in the industry, alongside AI features aimed at making everyday content creation more intuitive.
The series consists of three models: OPPO Reno 16 Pro 5G, Reno 16 5G, and Reno 16 F 5G. OPPO is positioning the devices as a blend of style, performance, and camera capability for younger users who are active on social media.
A design approach built to stand out
OPPO has long used each Reno generation to introduce a distinct visual identity, and the Reno 16 Series continues that approach. This time, the company is highlighting a 3D Planet Design said to be the first in the industry.
The effect creates a planet-like three-dimensional look that appears raised from the surface of the body. It also changes dynamically depending on light direction and viewing angle, giving the phone a more interactive appearance.
Beyond the more expressive look, the device is designed to remain compact and comfortable to hold. That balance is meant to keep the Reno 16 Series practical for everyday use, from content creation to entertainment.
Camera and AI tools for faster content creation
The camera system is one of the main selling points of the Reno 16 Series. OPPO says the innovations here are designed to help users create engaging content directly from a smartphone.
One of the highlighted features is AI Kolase Mix, which lets users combine multiple photos and videos into a more expressive visual composition. Another tool, Pop Cam, offers a new way to capture moments with a distinctive visual touch.
OPPO also adds AI Pop Out 2.0 for content that looks more dynamic, making the subject appear as if it is emerging from the frame. On the front, the series includes a 50MP Ultra-Wide Selfie Camera, while Video 4K Ultra Stabil is intended to produce steadier recordings.
ColorOS brings wider AI support
In addition to the design and camera system, OPPO is introducing a more intelligent and intuitive experience through ColorOS. At the center of that effort is AI Mind Pilot, which brings together support from three AI models: Google Gemini, Perplexity, and ChatGPT.
OPPO also includes AI Menu Translate to help users understand foreign-language food menus while traveling. The feature adds visual assistance and other important information to make trips abroad more practical.
There is also AI Bill Manager, which helps organize daily spending records. Together, these features show OPPO’s focus on AI functions that go beyond entertainment and extend into mobility and everyday task management.
Additional ecosystem devices and pre-order offers
Alongside the Reno 16 Series launch, OPPO is also bringing new IoT devices to complete its digital ecosystem. One example is OPPO Bubble, which functions as an additional screen or second screen.
It can be used for content preview through the main camera and also serves as dynamic wallpaper. That expands the usage experience beyond the phone’s core functions.
For pre-orders, OPPO is offering total benefits worth up to Rp 5.1 million. The package includes the Star Trail Journey Gift Set valued at Rp 999,000, a two-year device warranty worth Rp 299,000, a 180-Day New Replacement Warranty program worth Rp 699,000, trade-in cashback of up to Rp 1.5 million, and 0 percent installment, down payment, and administration fee promotions.
OPPO is also preparing special offers from IM3, Telkomsel, and XL Prioritas. Additional promotions are available on 7 July through the OPPO Official Store on Shopee, Blibli, Tokopedia, TikTok Shop, Lazada, and Akulaku, while pre-orders are already open at OPPO Stores across Indonesia.
