Garmin has introduced the Approach Z10, a smart laser rangefinder built for golfers who want more certainty before every shot. The device is aimed at younger players who are increasingly comfortable with connected gear on the course.
Its appeal is not only in distance measurement, but also in how it fits into the wider Garmin ecosystem. With Range Relay, the measured distance can be sent directly to a compatible Garmin smartwatch or the Garmin Golf app.
Compact design, fast handling
The Approach Z10 weighs less than 7 ounces, roughly equal to the weight of four to five golf balls. Garmin also gives it up to 6x magnification, helping users read targets more clearly across the course.
The rangefinder can lock onto the pin with precision at distances of up to 350 yards. When the target is locked, the device provides vibration feedback to confirm that the measurement has been completed.
Designed to work with Garmin wearables
Once the laser locks, the smartwatch display can show a laser range arc. That view is designed to help golfers estimate safe distances to the front and back of the green.
Garmin also includes PlaysLike Distance, which estimates yardage based on elevation changes, and Dynamic Distance, which updates the number on the smartwatch as the user moves closer to the target.
Built for practice, tournaments, and everyday use
The Approach Z10 includes Tournament Mode with an external indicator light so it can remain legal for official competition. It also comes with a Magnetic Mount for use on a golf cart.
Another practical feature is Find My Rangefinder, which helps users locate the device if it is left behind on the course. Garmin says the battery can last up to one year without replacement, making it a convenient option for regular play and practice sessions.
In Indonesia, the Garmin Approach Z10 is sold at Rp 5.309.000. It is available through Garmin Brand Stores Offline and Garmin Official Online Stores on major e-commerce platforms.
With its mix of portability, connected features, and competition-ready tools, the Approach Z10 reflects how data, apps, and wearable devices are shaping modern golf. It is positioned as a smart accessory for players who want a more confident and precise experience on the fairway.
