Baznas Awaits City Data, UMKM Aid Will Not Move Without Strict Verification

Baznas Kota Lubuk Linggau is preparing to distribute aid for small businesses, but the program is still waiting for official data from the Office of Cooperatives and UMKM. The local zakat body says its role is limited to distribution, while the recipient list must still come from the city government.

The delay has placed verification at the center of the program. Baznas says every proposed name will be checked again before any assistance is handed out, so the aid reaches only those who truly qualify.

Verification will decide who receives the aid

Baznas Chairman Marjianto said coordination with the city administration is continuing so the data can be delivered as soon as possible. Once the list arrives, the Baznas team will review it again in detail to ensure the assistance is directed properly.

If a proposed recipient is considered ineligible, the name will be replaced, Marjianto said. The priority remains UMKM actors who meet the criteria and are most in need of support.

The city administration’s data collection is still ongoing, which means Baznas cannot yet confirm when distribution will begin. A formal schedule from the city government has not been received.

Part of a city flagship program

The UMKM aid is part of the City Government of Lubuk Linggau’s flagship program. Baznas supports the initiative by acting as the channel for aid to recipients determined by the city through the relevant office.

That arrangement keeps the distribution process on one clear data track. It also makes verification more measurable and reduces the risk of misplaced assistance.

Baznas is also reviewing recipients of scholarship aid at the same time. The repeated data collection is being carried out so other managed programs can also be completed soon.

Marjianto said the process is targeted to finish as quickly as possible, with hopes that distribution can take place in July or even earlier. However, that target still depends on the completeness of the data and the administrative readiness currently being prepared.

Coordination with the office remains active

The key factor in the current UMKM aid rollout is the speed of data delivery from the Office of Cooperatives and UMKM. Until the data is received, Baznas is choosing to wait while preparing its internal verification process.

Marjianto stressed that communication with the city administration remains active so administrative requirements do not slow the program. Once the list of candidates is ready, Baznas will immediately check the names and distribute the aid to those who are eligible.

That readiness matters because the aid is aimed at the economic needs of residents who run small businesses. For that reason, accurate data remains the main condition before funds or support are actually received by business owners.

While the data collection process is still underway, Baznas says the program continues to move forward. The current focus is on validating recipient names, updating scholarship data, and waiting for the city government to confirm the schedule so distribution can begin soon.
