Moto Pad 70 Pro Brings 144Hz Display and 10,200 mAh Battery, With a Rare Long Update Promise

Motorola has positioned the Moto Pad 70 Pro as a premium tablet that leans hard on performance, battery life, and long-term software support. Its combination of Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, a 13-inch 144Hz display, and a 10,200 mAh battery makes it one of the more ambitious large-screen tablets in its class.

What makes the device more notable is the support commitment behind it. The Moto Pad 70 Pro launches with Android 16 and is promised updates to Android 17 and Android 18, along with security patches through 2030.

Performance built for demanding use

At the center of the tablet is the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. Motorola also says the device supports 120FPS gaming, which points to a clear focus on smooth performance rather than basic media consumption alone.

The display is another major selling point. Motorola equips the tablet with a 13-inch panel at 3.5K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, 12-bit color depth, HBM brightness of 800 nits, and Dolby Vision support.

One detail remains unconfirmed in the launch information: Motorola has not said whether the panel is LCD or AMOLED. That missing specification may matter to buyers who are comparing display technology as closely as resolution and refresh rate.

Made for entertainment and multi-device work

For users who move between phones, tablets, and PCs, Motorola includes Smart Connect to improve file sharing and cross-device workflows on compatible hardware. That gives the tablet a more productivity-oriented role beyond streaming and gaming.

Audio is handled by four JBL speakers with Dolby Atmos support. Together with the large high-refresh display, the speaker setup strengthens the tablet’s appeal for movies, games, and other full-screen content.

The Moto Pad 70 Pro also supports PC Mode for a desktop-like experience. Motorola bundles the Moto Pen Pro in the box, while the Snap-On Keyboard is sold separately.

Big battery, practical cameras, and modern connectivity

Power comes from a 10,200 mAh battery, and the tablet supports 45W charging. Motorola includes a 68W power adapter in the retail package, even though the tablet itself is rated for 45W charging.

The camera setup is simple, with a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. That configuration is aimed at video calls and basic capture rather than turning the tablet into a camera-centric device.

Connectivity includes Bluetooth 6.0 and Wi-Fi 7, plus a microSD slot that supports expansion up to 2TB. The lack of LTE, however, means the tablet is not built for standalone mobile data use.

Thin metal design and pricing

Motorola uses a metal body for the Moto Pad 70 Pro, which measures 6.2 mm thick and weighs 589 grams. The tablet is offered in a single Pantone Titan color, reinforcing its premium positioning.

Pricing in India starts at INR36,999 for the 8GB/128GB version and rises to INR39,999 for the 8GB/256GB model. Buyers who want the keyboard bundle can get the 8GB/256GB package with the Snap-On Keyboard for INR45,999.

Sales begin on 4 July through Motorola’s official website, Flipkart, and retail stores across India. For shoppers looking at a large Android tablet with a high-end display and an unusually long update roadmap, the Moto Pad 70 Pro makes a strong case on paper.
