Vivo has introduced the TWS 5 Pro with a clear premium pitch: stronger noise cancellation, higher-resolution audio delivery, and a feature set aimed at daily convenience. The earbuds are positioned as a direct challenge in a crowded wireless earbud market where sound quality alone is no longer enough.
The most striking claim is its Wi-Fi-based lossless audio transmission, which reaches up to 4.6Mbps. Combined with a dedicated Hi-Fi DAC and a hybrid setup built around 11mm dynamic drivers, Vivo is aiming at listeners who want more than standard compressed playback.
Audio hardware built for detail
Vivo says the TWS 5 Pro uses an independent Hi-Fi DAC to support audio processing, while the 11mm dynamic driver handles the core output. That pairing is meant to deliver stronger definition, cleaner reproduction, and lower compression in supported playback scenarios.
The earbud also supports spatial audio and adaptive sound. These features are intended to adjust output based on what is being played and the surrounding environment, making the device more flexible across music, entertainment, and daily commuting.
Noise cancellation goes hard
On the noise-canceling side, Vivo equips the TWS 5 Pro with Deep Sea Intelligent Noise Cancellation 2.0. The system is claimed to reduce noise by up to 60dB, a figure that places it among the more aggressive ANC claims in the segment.
For calls, the earbuds include four microphones designed to improve voice pickup in busy surroundings. That matters because premium earbuds are increasingly judged not only by music performance, but also by how well they handle communication in real-world environments.
Practical features for everyday use
Vivo has also added Bluetooth 5.4 with multi-device pairing, making the earbuds easier to switch between different devices. For gaming, there is a low-latency mode rated at 42ms.
The TWS 5 Pro also offers customizable EQ settings and DeepX 5.0 sound effects. A rating of IP54 provides protection against dust and splashes, which should help in routine outdoor use and more active daily conditions.
Battery life and comfort
Each earbud weighs 5.5 grams, keeping the design light enough for longer listening sessions. Vivo claims a total battery life of up to 50 hours when used with the charging case under AAC playback with noise cancellation turned off.
In a single charge, the earbuds can last around 11 hours in the same AAC and ANC-off scenario. When Wi-Fi lossless mode is used with ANC still disabled, runtime drops to about 5 hours.
Vivo also supports fast charging, with a 5-minute charge in the case said to provide around 2 additional hours of listening time. As with most battery claims, real-world results will depend on volume level, codec choice, and whether ANC is active.
Color options and launch price
The TWS 5 Pro is available in Original White and Silent Black. Vivo has priced the earbuds from 999 yuan, with an introductory price of 949 yuan during the launch period.
With Wi-Fi audio at 4.6Mbps, 60dB noise cancellation, an independent Hi-Fi DAC, and a hybrid driver setup, the Vivo TWS 5 Pro is clearly targeting buyers who want a more serious audio-first wireless earbud.
