When a main PC goes down, a single cable can decide whether a desk stays productive or turns into a mess of adapters. Baseus Spacemate RD1 Pro is built around that idea, combining docking, charging, and display output in one vertical unit aimed at Windows users.
The device is a 15-in-1 docking station priced at $299.99, with a promotional price of $189.99 using code BASEUSPR from June 23 to July 15. Its main appeal is simple: one USB-C connection can link a laptop to dual monitors and multiple peripherals at the same time.
A vertical dock designed to save space
Unlike traditional flat docks, the Spacemate RD1 Pro uses a vertical layout that Baseus calls “Space Simplified.” The design reduces the amount of horizontal space needed on a desk, which is useful for compact workstations.
The hardware also feels built for a permanent setup. It weighs 636 grams, comes in Cosmic Black, and has rounded edges that give it a cleaner, more professional appearance.
A small digital display sits on the front and shows real-time port usage and charging status. Above it, a physical button lets users switch operating modes by pressing and holding for two seconds.
The dock supports two main modes. Hybrid Mode enables data, video, and charging together, while Charging Mode disables data and display output so power delivery can take priority.
Ports for a full Windows workstation
Baseus gives the dock 14 wired ports and one wireless charging pad on top. The front is meant for frequent plug-and-unplug use, while the rear is reserved for more permanent connections.
The front panel includes two 100W USB-C ports and two 5Gbps USB-A ports. That layout makes it easy to charge accessories or connect temporary devices without reaching behind the dock.
The rear panel carries two 10Gbps USB-C ports, SD and TF 3.0 card slots, two 480Mbps USB-A ports, one Gigabit Ethernet port, and two HDMI outputs. The slower USB-A ports are suitable for a mouse or keyboard, while the faster USB-C ports handle larger file transfers.
Dual-monitor support is the key draw
For Windows users, the ability to extend work across two external monitors is one of the most important features here. One HDMI port supports 4K at up to 120Hz, while the other supports 4K at 60Hz.
In daily workstation use, the dual-screen extension function worked well overall. There were two brief HDMI connection interruptions, with the display blinking before returning to normal even though the cable remained firmly attached.
File transfers were more consistent. Large transfers through the 10Gbps USB-C ports were reported as fast, and the SD and TF card readers make the dock more practical for photo-heavy workflows.
Power delivery and Qi2.2 charging
Power management is another strong point. Baseus uses dynamic power distribution to manage total output up to 160W, and the unit did not appear to overheat during use with many devices connected.
The package includes a 180W GaN power adapter, which is effective but large and heavy enough to require careful placement behind a monitor or under a desk.
Testing on the front USB-C port showed a stable 100W output while charging a large power bank that supports 100W input. That means the dock can support high-speed charging for both a laptop and a power bank at the same time.
On top, the dock includes an angled Qi2.2 magnetic charging pad. It supports up to 25W for compatible devices and is useful for checking notifications or using face unlock while a phone charges.
With an iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 Pro, charging topped out at 15W because of device limitations, but the process remained stable. The magnet is strong enough for bare phones, though some cases reduce the grip noticeably.
What buyers should note first
Even with its broad feature set, the Spacemate RD1 Pro still leaves out some common ports. There is no DisplayPort and no 3.5mm audio jack, which may matter to users with older monitors or wired headphones and speakers.
The Ethernet port is also limited to 1Gbps rather than 2.5GbE. For many users that will be fine, but it keeps the dock from covering every possible desktop need.
Still, the overall package is unusually complete for a single device. It combines a space-saving footprint, dual-monitor output, 100W charging, and magnetic phone charging, making it a strong option for Windows workstations that need one cable to do a lot of work.
Baseus Spacemate RD1 Pro is available through Amazon and the Baseus official website, with the promotional $189.99 price running through July 15 using code BASEUSPR.
