According to Ming-Chi Kuo of TF International Securities, the standard iPhone 18 and the lower-cost iPhone 18e are expected to come with 9GB of RAM. That is only a modest increase from the 8GB used in iPhone 17, but it signals that Apple still sees additional memory as necessary for heavier on-device workloads.
A modest RAM jump for the regular lineup
Earlier rumors suggested Apple might move the iPhone 18 to 12GB of RAM, a figure often tied to more demanding AI processing needs. Kuo now indicates that Apple may have scaled back that plan because of memory supply constraints and cost considerations.
