OnePlus has introduced the OnePlus N6 in India as a new budget phone positioned below the Nord line. Its biggest selling point is hard to miss, with an 8,000mAh battery paired with the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex at a starting price of Rs 22,999.
The timing also adds pressure on rivals, because sales open during Amazon Prime Day. That puts the OnePlus N6 in front of a large shopping window right from day one.
Battery first, then everything else
The 8,000mAh battery is the main reason this phone stands out in its segment. OnePlus backs it with 45W wired fast charging and 5W reverse wired charging for accessories.
The company also includes bypass charging, which sends power directly to the system during gaming. That helps reduce battery stress during long sessions, while a vapour cooling system with a 5,300mm² heat-dissipation area is meant to keep temperatures under control.
Display and durability
OnePlus N6 uses a 6.8-inch LCD with HD+ resolution of 720 x 1,520 pixels. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1,200 nits brightness in HBM mode, and a 254 PPI pixel density.
For protection, the device carries MIL-STD-810H certification for accidental drops and an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance.

Pricing, colors, and launch offer
OnePlus is selling the N6 in two memory variants. The 4GB RAM + 128GB model costs Rs 22,999, while the 6GB RAM + 128GB version is priced at Rs 24,999.
Buyers can choose between Midnight Green and Fresh Mint. Sales in India begin on 4 July at 12 AM IST through Amazon.
On launch day, OnePlus is offering an exclusive Rs 1,000 discount. There is also an instant Rs 2,000 discount for purchases made with Axis Bank and SBI cards.
Hardware, cameras, and software
The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex and is paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. That setup makes the device a value-first option rather than a spec-heavy midrange model.
For imaging, the OnePlus N6 includes a 50MP rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture and an 8MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture. It also supports dual-view video recording, allowing the front and rear cameras to work at the same time.
The software side runs on OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16. OnePlus says the phone will receive two major OS upgrades and three years of security updates.
How it compares inside OnePlus’ own lineup
The most direct internal rival is the Nord CE 6 Lite. Its 6GB + 128GB variant is priced at Rs 25,999, only Rs 1,000 above the OnePlus N6 in the same memory class.
At that gap, the Nord CE 6 Lite offers an additional rear camera and a stronger chipset, while the OnePlus N6 fights back with a much larger battery. For buyers, the choice now depends on whether endurance or extra hardware matters more.
| Model | Price | Notable Edge |
