Vivo is preparing a more serious return to the premium TWS market with the TWS 5 Pro, and the headline feature is not a minor refresh. The earbuds center on an independent Hi-Fi DAC chip that is designed to lift sound quality well beyond what many wireless models typically offer.
The launch is scheduled for China on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. local time. With that timing and its feature set, Vivo is clearly aiming at listeners who want high-resolution audio in a truly wireless form factor.
Sound quality sits at the center
Vivo says the independent Hi-Fi DAC can deliver a dynamic range of up to 113dB, with THD+N below 0.0013%. Those numbers point to cleaner playback, stronger detail retrieval, and better instrument separation during listening.
The company is positioning the processing chain as a major step up for users who care about clarity across different genres. In practical terms, the goal is to keep the music precise without losing texture or spatial definition.
A more complex driver design
Beyond digital processing, the TWS 5 Pro uses what Vivo calls the Pure Harmony Architecture. Inside that compact acoustic module, the company combines a custom ultra-miniature balanced armature from Knowles with in-house double-folded dynamic drivers.
The setup is further supported by a coaxial hybrid design and an independent acoustic valve. Vivo says the result is a frequency range from 16Hz to 60kHz, allowing deeper bass and crisp, extended highs.
Wireless audio gets a major boost
One of the most striking additions is Wi-Fi Direct support. Vivo claims this enables lossless audio transmission of up to 4.6Mbps, far beyond the limits of typical Bluetooth-only earbuds.
That link is intended to handle native 96kHz/24-bit streaming without compression-related quality loss. For a premium wireless earbud, that is the kind of specification that immediately separates it from more conventional rivals.
Calls are part of the upgrade too
Vivo is also working on communication quality, not just music playback. The TWS 5 Pro includes an updated Clear Voice Mode for phone calls and video conferences.
To refine that system, Vivo collaborated with its internal Golden Ear Team and experts from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. The focus is on reducing environmental noise while keeping the user’s voice natural and articulate.
A flagship follow-up with ecosystem ties
The TWS 5 Pro arrives more than three years after Vivo’s last Pro model, which helps explain the scale of the upgrade. It also follows the Vivo TWS 3 Pro, which launched in 2022 at around 999 Yuan, or roughly 2.2 million rupiah at the time.
Pricing and battery life for the new model have not been disclosed ahead of the official event, but the feature list points strongly toward the flagship tier. Vivo is also preparing smooth integration with its newest Vivo and iQOO phones, reinforcing the earbuds as part of a broader premium ecosystem.
For buyers who care about wireless convenience without giving up serious audio ambitions, the TWS 5 Pro is shaping up as one of Vivo’s most important audio products in years.
