Xiaomi is also rumored to apply Low-Injection Pressure Over-molding, or LIPO, to reduce the bezel area significantly. If that detail proves accurate, the phone could look far more modern without abandoning the flat-screen format that has become popular in the flagship class.
Reports also suggest a more premium body treatment, including glass fiber materials and a photochromic finish. Those touches would place more emphasis on design refinement than on a complete visual overhaul.
Performance and charging focus on efficiency
On the hardware side, Xiaomi 18 is said to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. The chip has not been officially announced yet, but it is already circulating in leaks as Qualcomm’s next high-end platform.
