Digital Chat Station added another clue in response to user discussion in China. He said that if someone wants strong image quality and a large battery at the same time, a larger-screen phone is the better fit.
That comment helps frame Xiaomi 18’s place in the lineup. The base model appears to stay on the more restrained side of the strategy, while larger models may be where Xiaomi allows itself more room to push battery size and design choices.
Pro and Pro Max continue to shape expectations
Interest in the next Xiaomi family is also being lifted by the success of the previous Pro and Pro Max models. Xiaomi previously benefited from strong demand thanks to the Dynamic Back Display feature on the Xiaomi 17 generation.
