HMD Global is giving Nokia feature phones a more modern role by adding AI support to four new models. The lineup includes the Nokia 200 4G, Nokia 210 4G, Nokia 215 4G 2nd Edition, and Nokia 235 4G 2nd Edition.

The move signals that feature phones still have room in the market, especially for users who want a simple device with voice-based assistance. HMD places the AI button in the center of the D-pad so it can be reached quickly.

AI support through Sikey AI

The artificial intelligence function on the new phones is powered by Sikey AI. Users can ask basic questions and control device functions through voice commands.

HMD offers the AI assistant free for the first 180 days. After that period ends, users will need a paid subscription to keep using it.

Subscription purchases can only be made through a smartphone. That detail keeps the AI service on these feature phones connected to a broader device ecosystem.

Communication features remain simple

All four models also support Xpress chat video calling. The feature is made possible by the built-in VGA camera included on the devices.

For certain models, HMD adds a rear camera as well. The Nokia 210 4G and Nokia 235 4G both have a rear camera, while the Nokia 235 4G is equipped with a 2 MP unit.

Model Display Camera Notes
Nokia 210 4G 2.4-inch QVGA Rear camera included
Nokia 215 4G 2nd Edition 2.4-inch QVGA Built-in VGA camera for Xpress chat
Nokia 215 4G 2nd Edition 2.8-inch IPS Built-in VGA camera for Xpress chat
Nokia 235 4G 2nd Edition 2.8-inch IPS Rear camera included, 2 MP on Nokia 235 4G

Displays vary by model

On the display side, the Nokia 210 4G and Nokia 215 4G use a 2.4-inch QVGA screen. Both are aimed at users who need a compact display for basic functions.

Meanwhile, the Nokia 215 4G 2nd Edition and Nokia 235 4G 2nd Edition use a 2.8-inch IPS panel with the same resolution. The difference in panel size and type gives Nokia’s new feature phone range more variety.

Battery and connectivity stay practical

All four phones run S30+ and come with a 1,450 mAh battery. The combination keeps the feature-phone character intact, with a focus on simple use and modest endurance.

HMD also includes Bluetooth 5.0, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, FM radio, and USB-C charging. Those additions keep the phones relevant for basic communication and entertainment needs.

HMD has not yet revealed pricing or availability for the four Nokia feature phones. For now, the company has only confirmed that the new models arrive with AI integrated into the device.
