XLSMART Telecom Sejahtera Tbk is taking a wider approach to digital talent development with XLSMART Future Ready, a program designed not just to train participants but to connect them with real job opportunities. The initiative reflects a growing shift in how companies are thinking about workforce preparation in the digital era.
Rather than stopping at classroom-style learning, the program is built as an end-to-end ecosystem that follows participants from digital education to employability. That design places learning to earning at the center of the initiative, with the company positioning it as part of its latest flagship CSR effort.
Training linked to employment access
President Director and CEO Rajeev Sethi said digital transformation depends not only on infrastructure, but also on the quality of human resources. He also stressed that what is needed now is not just training, but a program that can connect learning with concrete work opportunities.
According to Rajeev, Future Ready is intended to bridge that gap and help move participants from learning to earning. XLSMART is targeting at least 1,000 young Indonesians to secure internships or jobs through collaboration with industry partners.
Large-scale reach through Sisternet and Future Ready
The company has set an even broader ambition on participation. Future Ready is meant to reach 1 million young talents in Indonesia through the Sisternet application and the Future Ready website.
At the same time, XLSMART is also aiming for 10,000 training completion certificates. The target suggests that the program is designed to measure outcomes more clearly, not just participation numbers.
Structured around industry needs
Director and Chief People Officer Jeremiah Ratadhi said the program was developed around the needs of a fast-changing industry. For that reason, each stage is integrated so participants can move through a more complete development pathway.
The program includes digital learning, competency-based training, industry certification, mentoring with practitioners, internships, and access to recruitment through partner companies. This structure gives participants a clearer route beyond training and into the labor market.
Partners and broader support
XLSMART has already brought in strategic partners to strengthen the ecosystem behind the initiative, including ZTE and Eka Tjipta Foundation. The company says that cooperation will continue to expand as the program develops.
Menteri Ketenagakerjaan RI Prof. Yassierli, Ph.D, welcomed the initiative and said that the transformation of the world of work requires stronger collaboration between government, business, educational institutions, and other stakeholders. He noted that programs like Future Ready can broaden access to work while improving participant competency.
Yassierli added that such collaboration is expected to produce more Indonesian digital talents who are adaptable, competitive, and ready to contribute to national economic growth and support Indonesia Emas 2045. In a digital economy that is moving quickly, Future Ready shows how training, certification, mentoring, and job access can be combined into one more practical pathway.
