OPPO Reno16 F Puts 50MP Selfies and a 7,000mAh Battery Ahead of Rivals

OPPO is preparing to push the mid-range segment harder with the Reno16 F 5G, which is scheduled to launch in Vietnam on July 2, 2026. The device stands out most for combining a 50MP selfie camera, a 7,000mAh battery, and the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy chipset.

That mix places the Reno16 F squarely in the lane of younger users who want strong photography, long battery life, and stable everyday performance. The Reno series has long been associated with camera focus and a more premium-feeling design, and this model follows that formula closely.

Front camera takes the lead

OPPO is making the front camera one of the biggest selling points of the Reno16 F, not just the rear setup. The phone uses a 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera aimed at group shots and vlogs that need a wider field of view.

The high resolution should also help keep images sharp when they are cropped. OPPO pairs it with DigiCam technology to keep colors lively while still looking natural.

Pop Cam adds a more practical touch by letting users shoot and upload to social media with minimal editing. The phone also includes AI Creative Photo Collage, which automatically arranges several photos into a collage.

Large battery, faster charging

Battery endurance is another major part of the Reno16 F pitch. OPPO has fitted the phone with a 7,000mAh battery, a capacity that remains unusually large for a handset that still aims to keep a slim profile.

To support that capacity, OPPO includes SuperVOOC 80W charging. The combination is designed to shorten charging time significantly compared with conventional charging methods.

Efficiency-first performance

For performance, the Reno16 F relies on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy 5G chipset. OPPO says the chip is designed to improve power efficiency while keeping device temperatures stable during long sessions.

The phone is paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. That setup is intended to handle multitasking, light gaming, and day-to-day productivity without trouble.

Display and durability round out the package

The Reno16 F uses a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Brightness reaches up to 1,400 nits, which should help visibility under strong sunlight.

OPPO also adds broad protection with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certification. In practice, that means the device is built to resist dust, water, and even high-pressure water jets.
