Lenovo has positioned the Idea Tab as a practical tablet for students, college users, and younger consumers who need a device for study and light productivity. The biggest selling point is not only the hardware, but also the bundled accessories that come straight in the box.
That approach gives the tablet an immediate advantage for note-taking, typing assignments, and working on the go. For users who want a portable device without spending extra on accessories, the package is easy to notice from the start.
Built for learning and mobility
The Lenovo Idea Tab is designed as a compact tablet for everyday use. It can handle studying, writing notes, light work, and entertainment in one device.
Its dimensions measure 254.59 x 166.15 x 6.99 mm, with a weight of around 480 grams. That size makes it easier to carry to school, campus, a cafe, or while traveling.
The tablet is available in Polar Blue and Luna Grey. Every unit sold in Indonesia includes the Lenovo Folio Keyboard and Lenovo Tab Pen.
The keyboard connects through pogo pins, allowing users to type documents and complete assignments with more comfort than a touch-only setup. The included pen adds another layer of productivity for writing, drawing, note-taking, and marking up documents.
The display is one of the main highlights
Lenovo equips the Idea Tab with an 11-inch 2.5K display to support reading and long study sessions. The panel has a 2560 x 1600 resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and 500 nits of brightness.
There is also a paper-like anti-glare matte display on the Matte Edition. Lenovo says the panel is meant to feel more comfortable for reading, writing, note-taking, and extended learning sessions.
That focus suggests the display is aimed at productivity as much as entertainment. Lenovo appears to be prioritizing visual comfort for daily study and work use.
Core hardware and software support
Under the hood, the Lenovo Idea Tab uses a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset with an octa-core CPU. It is paired with 8GB of RAM and internal storage options of 128GB or 256GB.
If the built-in storage is not enough, users can expand it with a microSD card of up to 1TB. That should help with school files, learning materials, documents, videos, and entertainment content.
At launch, the tablet runs Android 15. Lenovo also promises an upgrade path up to Android 17, along with four years of security updates.
That software commitment adds value for users who plan to keep the tablet for the medium term. Ongoing updates are especially relevant for a device centered on daily productivity.
Camera, audio, and battery
For online classes, video calls, and meetings, the Idea Tab includes a 5 MP fixed-focus front camera. A rear 8 MP autofocus camera is also available.
Multimedia use is supported by four speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos. The setup is intended to deliver a more immersive experience for videos, movies, series, and music.
The tablet carries a 7,040 mAh battery with 20W charging support. Lenovo says it can last up to 12 hours for YouTube streaming.
Connectivity and Indonesia pricing
The Lenovo Idea Tab also includes a USB Type-C 2.0 port, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and a microSD slot. Connectivity support covers WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo.
