Nothing has introduced the Phone (4b) as a new model that fills the gap between the Phone (4a) and the Phone (3a) Lite. Its biggest talking point is the battery, which makes it the largest-capacity phone in Nothing’s lineup so far.
The battery story, however, is not the same in every market. In India, the Phone (4b) carries a 6,000 mAh battery, while the global version is reduced to 5,200 mAh and still stands as the largest battery available on a Nothing phone sold internationally.
Battery and charging
Nothing says the 6,000 mAh version can deliver more than 22 hours of video streaming. It is also rated for more than 40 hours of phone calls and more than 30 hours of music playback.
When the battery runs low, the device supports 33W fast charging through USB-C. In about 30 minutes, Nothing says the battery can reach 50 percent.
The Phone (4b) also supports 7.5W reverse wired charging, allowing it to top up other devices through a cable.
| Market | Battery Capacity | Charging Support |
|---|---|---|
| India | 6,000 mAh | 33W fast charging, 7.5W reverse wired charging |
| Global | 5,200 mAh | 33W fast charging, 7.5W reverse wired charging |
Design, display, and camera
Outside the battery, the Phone (4b) keeps Nothing’s familiar transparent design language. The rear still carries the Glyph Bar, which now includes four white LED lights and one red LED.
The Glyph Bar sits at the top right of the back panel, while the dual rear camera setup is placed in a separate module at the top left. Its functions go beyond notifications, with use cases such as timers, lighting effects, video recording light, and other custom options through Nothing OS.
The main camera uses a 50 MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS. It is paired with an 8 MP ultrawide camera with a 120-degree field of view.
On the front, the Phone (4b) uses a 6.77-inch OLED display with Full HD Plus resolution and an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.
For visibility, the screen offers 1,200 nits of outdoor brightness and a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. Protection comes from Dragontrail Pro Glass, while the 16 MP front camera sits in a centered punch-hole cutout.
Performance, software, and features
Nothing equips the Phone (4b) with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset. Its performance position is said to sit above the Dimensity 7300 Pro used in the Phone (3a) Lite, but below the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 found in the Phone (4a).
For the global market, the device comes in a single memory configuration with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The memory uses LPDDR4X and UFS 2.2.
There is no microSD slot, so storage expansion is not available. Users are limited to the built-in internal memory.
The Phone (4b) runs Nothing OS 4.1 based on Android 16. Nothing promises three years of OS updates and six years of security updates.
Other features include IP64 certification, stereo speakers, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and a USB-C port. A 3.5 mm audio jack is not included.
One important detail concerns NFC availability. The feature is not offered on the India model.
The device also includes the Essential Key, which can be used to access AI features such as Essential Voice, Essential Search, and other artificial intelligence tools.
Colors and price
Nothing offers the Phone (4b) in three colors: White, Black, and Blue. The design keeps the brand’s signature minimalist look intact.
In Europe, the Phone (4b) is priced at 330 euro. There is still no information on whether the phone will be sold in Indonesia.
With this launch, Nothing is pushing its midrange line toward battery endurance as a core selling point. In a market where many phones compete on cameras and design, the Phone (4b) stands out by making long battery life its main message.
