Xiaomi has expanded its smart home cleaning lineup in China with the launch of the Mijia Wireless Floor Scrubber 5. The cordless wet-and-dry cleaner stands out for pairing 18,000Pa suction with up to 45 minutes of runtime.
The device is positioned for households that want a more practical floor-cleaning tool, especially where hair tangles, low furniture, and routine maintenance can become inconvenient. Xiaomi has opened pre-orders on JD.com at a price of 1,645 yuan.
Built to clean without constant interruptions
The Mijia Wireless Floor Scrubber 5 uses a motor rated at 18,000Pa, while its main roller spins at 400rpm and applies 22.3N of downward pressure. Xiaomi says this combination is meant to do more than wipe the floor, helping the roller scrub dirt more effectively during use.
One of the more notable additions is the four-layer anti-tangle system. Xiaomi says it has passed TÜV SÜD testing and can handle up to 3,000 strands of wet hair without clogging the brush.
| Key Cleaning Specs | Details |
|---|---|
| Suction Power | 18,000Pa |
| Roller Speed | 400rpm |
| Downward Pressure | 22.3N |
| Hair Handling | Up to 3,000 wet strands |
Design choices aim to make it easier to handle
Xiaomi placed the 1,000mL clean water tank at the bottom of the body to lower the center of gravity. The company says this reduces hand load by 25% and increases the roller’s natural floor pressure by 10%.
The scrubber also supports a 70-degree steering angle and forward traction assistance, making it easier to guide through different rooms. For tight spaces, it can lie flat at 180 degrees and reach as far as 104cm under low furniture such as beds and cabinets.
| Handling and Reach | Details |
|---|---|
| Clean Water Tank | 1,000mL |
| Steering Angle | 70 degrees |
| Flat-Lie Reach | Up to 104cm under furniture |
| Floor Position | 180-degree lay-flat mode |
Water control and self-cleaning are also part of the package
Xiaomi says the floor scrubber uses five mechanisms for water control, including precision water delivery and a TPE wastewater scraper designed to limit leftover moisture on the floor. The dirty water tank holds 700mL.
The machine also uses a solid-liquid separation design that keeps physical debris apart from dirty water, which Xiaomi says helps reduce odors after cleaning. This makes maintenance more practical after each use.
| Water and Waste Management | Details |
|---|---|
| Dirty Water Tank | 700mL |
| Water Control | Five mechanisms |
| Drying Temperature | 100°C hot air |
| Drying Noise | 45dB(A) |
After cleaning, the unit can return to its charging base for one-touch self-cleaning. Xiaomi says the roller is washed automatically and then dried together with the filter using 100°C hot air, while the drying process stays at a relatively low 45dB(A).
Battery life is rated at up to 45 minutes, with Xiaomi estimating that this is enough to cover as much as 334 square meters on a single charge. The launch adds another premium cleaning option to Xiaomi’s growing home appliance range in China.
The brand has also recently introduced the Mijia Handheld Fan in a new green color and a 5L smart kettle with app control, 1°C temperature adjustment, and water circulation technology.
