Oppo Reno 16 Pro 5G enters the Indonesian market with a clear premium pitch: a high-resolution camera system, a fast display, and a large battery in one device. The phone is positioned as the top model in the Reno 16 Series and is priced at Rp 14.999.000 for its only local configuration.
That single variant combines 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM with 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Oppo does not provide external storage support, so all apps, photos, videos, and files must rely on the built-in capacity.
Camera System Takes the Lead
The biggest selling point is the rear camera setup, led by a 200 MP main sensor with OIS and an f/1.8 aperture. Oppo says the Ultra Clear Camera is designed to keep detail intact even after cropping.
The rear module is completed by a 50 MP telephoto camera and a 50 MP ultra-wide camera. The telephoto unit supports 3.5x optical zoom, OIS, and an f/2.8 aperture, while the ultra-wide camera offers an f/2.0 aperture and a 116-degree field of view.
| Camera | Resolution | Key Features |
|---|---|---|
| Main | 200 MP | OIS, f/1.8 |
| Telephoto | 50 MP | 3.5x optical zoom, OIS, f/2.8 |
| Ultra-wide | 50 MP | f/2.0, 116-degree field of view |
| Front | 50 MP | Ultra-wide, autofocus, f/2.0, 100-degree field of view |
On the front, Oppo installs a 50 MP ultra-wide selfie camera with autofocus, an f/2.0 aperture, and a 100-degree field of view. The setup gives the Reno 16 Pro 5G a broad shooting range, from wide scenes to zoomed portraits and high-resolution selfies.
AMOLED Display and Performance
The phone uses a 6.32-inch Crystal Guard AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution of 2640 x 1216 pixels. Peak brightness reaches 1,800 nits, while the display also supports up to 144 Hz refresh rate in compatible games.
Oppo adds a 240 Hz touch sampling rate to help input feel more responsive. That combination makes the device suitable not only for media consumption, but also for smoother navigation and gaming.
Inside, the Reno 16 Pro 5G runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super chipset paired with an 8-core CPU and ARM G720 MC8 GPU. Oppo also includes AI HyperBoost 3.0 to support gaming performance.
The software package is ColorOS 16, and the phone also carries AI Mind Pilot, AI Mind Space, AI Bill Manager, and AI Menu Translation. Together, the hardware and software place the device in a flagship-lite category on paper.
Battery, Connectivity, and Durability
Power is another major highlight, with a 6,700 mAh battery backed by 80W SuperVOOC fast charging. Oppo also equips the device with Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB OTG, and a USB Type-C port.
Connectivity support includes 5G NR, 4G LTE, WCDMA, and GSM, plus eSIM alongside Dual Nano-SIM. The phone does not include a 3.5 mm audio jack.
For durability, Oppo gives the Reno 16 Pro 5G IP68, IP69, and IP69K certification for dust and water resistance. The body measures 151.21 mm in height and 72.42 mm in width, with a thickness of 8.36 mm for Pop White and 8.20 mm for Starlight Black.
Weight also varies by color, at 191 grams for Pop White and 188 grams for Starlight Black. The phone is available in those two finishes, and it was launched in Indonesia on Thursday, July 2, 2026.
