Huawei is widening the scope of its next global showcase, and the move gives its upcoming event a more layered lineup than expected. Alongside the Pura 90s series, the company is preparing two additional devices that highlight different sides of its product strategy.
The first is a new MatePad Air, shown in pink, white, and blue. Its teaser reveals a pill-shaped camera cutout, plus support for a stylus and keyboard cover, which suggests a clear focus on productivity and flexible use.
MatePad Air and FreeClip 2 S at a glance
| Device | What Huawei Showed | Notable Detail |
|---|---|---|
| New MatePad Air | Pink, white, blue | Stylus and keyboard cover support |
| FreeClip 2 S | New dome-shaped charging case | Previously appeared in China as a Collector’s Edition |
Huawei has not explained whether the new MatePad Air differs in any meaningful way from the MatePad Air (2025). For now, the teaser mainly draws attention to the refreshed design and the accessory support shown so far.
The other device is the FreeClip 2 S wireless earbuds. This model was already introduced in China under the name FreeClip 2 Collector’s Edition, and the main visible change is the revised dome-shaped charging case paired with new color options.
Beyond the case redesign and color shift, the FreeClip 2 S is said to share the same specifications as the regular FreeClip 2. That makes the new version look more like a styling update than a major hardware revision.
Together, the two devices help Huawei broaden the appeal of its global event beyond the Pura 90s lineup. The tablet and earbuds add extra attention to the company’s ecosystem, while the teasers leave room for more details to surface at the launch.
