Four new midrange smartphones from Samsung, Redmi, and Poco have now passed two important gates before reaching the Indonesian market. The devices are Samsung Galaxy A27 5G, Redmi 17, Redmi Note 17 4G, and Poco C95 Pro 4G.
The clearest signal comes from the Ministry of Industry’s TKDN certification and the Ministry of Communication and Digital’s Postel approval. Those filings indicate that the devices have met the main requirements for sale in Indonesia.
What the certification records show
The model numbers that appear in the certification databases are Samsung SM-A276B, Redmi 2606FRN72Y, Redmi 26012RN62Y, and Poco 2606FPC72Y. Based on KompasTekno’s tracking, they correspond to the Galaxy A27 5G, Redmi 17 4G, Redmi Note 17 4G, and Poco C95 Pro 4G.
| Model | Model Number | Certification Status | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Samsung Galaxy A27 5G | SM-A276B | TKDN and Postel | Passed with 40.30 percent TKDN |
| Redmi 17 | 2606FRN72Y | TKDN and Postel | Passed with 38.20 percent TKDN |
| Redmi Note 17 4G | 26012RN62Y | TKDN and Postel | Passed with 38.20 percent TKDN |
| Poco C95 Pro 4G | 2606FPC72Y | TKDN | Not yet visible in the Postel database |
Galaxy A27 5G is already on the global stage
Samsung Galaxy A27 5G is listed in Kemenperin’s TKDN site with a score of 40.30 percent, safely above the 35 percent minimum for 4G and 5G smartphones. The phone is also listed on Postel with certificate number 123112/DJID/2026, issued on 19 June 2026.
Samsung had already introduced the Galaxy A27 5G globally in late June. It debuted in Germany and the United States, so an official Indonesian launch now appears to be the remaining step.
On the global market, the Galaxy A27 5G features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, a 5,000 mAh battery with 25-watt fast charging, a 50 MP OIS main camera, a 5 MP ultrawide camera, a 2 MP macro camera, and a 12 MP front camera. Samsung also promises six generations of Android updates and six years of security support.
Xiaomi lines up three devices at once
Xiaomi is preparing three new phones through the Redmi and Poco lines. The trio consists of Redmi 17, Redmi Note 17 4G, and Poco C95 Pro 4G, each carrying a TKDN value of 38.20 percent.
Redmi 17 and Redmi Note 17 4G were both recorded in Indonesia’s Postel database on 8 July 2026. Redmi 17 already appears with the marketing name “REDMI 17,” while Redmi Note 17 is still listed under the model number 26012RN62Y.
Poco C95 Pro 4G has not yet appeared in the Postel database at the time of writing. Even so, its model pattern is very similar to Redmi 17, which strengthens the possibility of a rebrand.
Early clues about Redmi 17 and Redmi Note 17
Redmi 17 is expected to use the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 chipset and support only 4G networks. Other leaked details point to several memory options, ranging from 4 GB/128 GB to 8 GB/512 GB.
Documents also mention dual SIM support, dual-band WiFi at 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, Bluetooth, and NFC. If Poco C95 Pro 4G really is a rebranded version of Redmi 17, its specifications are likely to be similar.
Redmi Note 17 has surfaced earlier than the usual pattern for previous Redmi Note launches. The device has been listed in the global GSMA database and for Latin America, which has fueled speculation that Xiaomi may speed up the rollout of its next Redmi Note series.
For now, Xiaomi has not confirmed the final specifications or launch schedule. Still, the certification trail in Indonesia is strong enough to show that the Samsung A27 5G and Redmi 17 are both getting close to the local market.
The remaining question is how quickly the companies will move from filings and certifications to an official announcement. Until then, the records already point to a busy midrange launch window for Samsung, Redmi, and Poco in Indonesia.
