Samsung has widened its Galaxy A series with the Galaxy A27 5G, a midrange phone that leans on a smoother display, upgraded AI features, and a price that remains within reach of many buyers. The device is aimed at younger users who want a dependable handset for gaming, study, social media, and everyday work.
The strongest selling point is the display. The Galaxy A27 5G uses a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Full HD+ panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and Infinity-O design, giving the front a cleaner look and a more fluid feel during daily use.
Thin body, large screen
Samsung has kept the phone relatively slim at 7.8 mm thick, while the weight sits at 200 grams. That combination is meant to preserve a stylish profile without making the phone feel overly heavy during extended use.

Performance and battery for daily multitasking
Under the hood, Samsung pairs the Galaxy A27 5G with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 built on a 4 nm process. The phone is offered with 6 GB or 8 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of storage.
If internal space is not enough, the microSD slot supports expansion up to 2 TB. Power comes from a 5,000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging, which keeps the phone in familiar territory for the segment.
Samsung says its internal testing showed the device remained smooth while opening 20 apps at once. The company also said the phone used less power than the Galaxy A26 and A36 in that same test scenario.
Camera hardware and AI tools step up together
The rear camera setup centers on a 50 MP main sensor with OIS, supported by a 5 MP ultra-wide lens and a 2 MP macro camera. A 12 MP front camera handles selfies and video calls.
The phone runs Android 16 with One UI 8.5, and Samsung promises up to six generations of Android and One UI updates plus six years of security updates. That policy gives the Galaxy A27 5G a longer support window than many midrange rivals.
Samsung has also packed in a broad set of tools under Awesome Intelligence. They include Circle to Search with the ability to recognize multiple objects in one image, Object Eraser, Voice Transcription with translation support for up to 22 languages, and integration with Google Gemini, Perplexity, and Bixby.
Annisa Maulina, MX Product Marketing Senior Manager at Samsung Electronics Indonesia, said the voice transcription feature can be processed on-device. She added that it can still be used even when an internet connection is unavailable.
The Galaxy A27 5G also carries IP64 protection against dust and splashes, along with Samsung Knox Vault for securing important user data. Color options include Light Pink, Blue, and Black.
