Itel’s Next Budget Phones Put Durability First, with Zeno 100 Pro Arriving July 16

Itel is preparing to expand its Zeno lineup in India with two new phones that take a very different approach from most budget models. The Zeno 100 Pro and Zeno 100 Lite are being positioned around toughness and everyday durability, with the Pro model set to arrive first on 16 July.

That focus makes the series stand out in a crowded entry-level market. Instead of leading with design claims or only modest spec upgrades, Itel is highlighting resistance to rough use, heat, and drops as the main selling point.

Zeno 100 Pro leads the launch

Amazon has already posted a dedicated page confirming that the Itel Zeno 100 Pro will launch in India on 16 July. The listing describes the device as “built tough” and aims it at users who want a daily phone that can handle more demanding conditions.

The key highlight is its MIL-STD 810H certification. Itel also says the phone is designed to withstand heat and falls, making durability the clearest message in the early teaser materials.

The teaser also points to a feature called “Point and Tap Control Connectivity.” If that hint proves accurate, the function may be tied to an IR blaster that could let the phone control home appliances such as TVs and air conditioners.

Images from the teaser further show a dual rear camera setup. However, Itel has not yet revealed the sensors behind that arrangement.

Model Main Highlights Launch Status
Itel Zeno 100 Pro MIL-STD 810H, heat resistance, drop resistance, dual rear cameras India, 16 July
Itel Zeno 100 Lite 6.6-inch HD+ display, 90Hz refresh rate, DTS speaker, MIL-STD certification, 5,000mAh battery Coming soon

Zeno 100 Lite is not far behind

The Zeno 100 Lite does not yet have a firm launch date, and Itel’s microsite only labels it as “coming soon.” Even so, the phone is likely to be introduced alongside the Pro model, or at least close to it.

Its confirmed features suggest a simpler but still durable device. Itel says the Lite model will offer a 6.6-inch HD+ screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, DTS audio support, MIL-STD certification, and a 5,000mAh battery.

Those details place the Zeno 100 Lite below the Zeno 100 Pro in the lineup, which fits the naming convention. Still, the company has not disclosed pricing, chipset details, camera specifications, or software features for either phone.

With both models, Itel appears to be betting that durability can matter just as much as raw specifications in the entry-level segment. More complete details are expected closer to the launch window, especially for the Pro model’s India debut on 16 July.
