GeForce Now Reaches India, Free Tier Opens the Door Before Paid Plans

GeForce Now has finally launched in India with a free option that lets users test the service before paying for a subscription. For a market where gaming hardware is expensive and access to high-end PCs is not always easy, the timing is hard to ignore.

The cloud gaming service from Nvidia now offers a simple entry point, while also reserving its best features for higher tiers. That mix gives Indian users a chance to judge internet performance, visual quality, and session limits before deciding whether the service fits their play style.

Three Tiers, Three Different Commitments

The free tier is ad-supported and streams at 1080p and 60fps with a one-hour session limit. Above that, the Performance plan costs ₹1,000 per month and raises streaming to 1440p at 60fps with a six-hour session cap.

The top-end Ultimate tier is priced at ₹2,000 per month and goes further with 5K at 360fps and an eight-hour session limit. Nvidia also offers day passes for both paid tiers, giving users more flexibility without committing to a full monthly cycle.

Tier Price Streaming Quality Session Limit
Free Gratis 1080p @ 60fps 1 hour
Performance ₹1,000/month 1440p @ 60fps 6 hours
Ultimate ₹2,000/month 5K @ 360fps 8 hours

The day passes are priced at ₹400 for Performance and ₹800 for Ultimate. Even then, Nvidia keeps a monthly total of 100 hours of play, and users may still be placed in a queue when servers are busy.

Ultimate Targets the Enthusiasts

The Ultimate tier is the one that stands out most clearly. Nvidia says it provides a machine equivalent to GeForce RTX 5080, along with DLSS 4, Reflex, and Cloud G-Sync for supported displays.

Users who want to take full advantage of Cloud G-Sync need to make sure their monitor supports G-Sync. Nvidia also said beta participants will receive a 20% discount on the first three months of recurring subscriptions, with eligibility details sent by email.

GeForce Now does not sell games itself. Instead, it connects players to gaming PCs over the internet and lets them access titles they already own on Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox, Battle.net, and GOG.

Support also extends to subscription services such as Xbox Game Pass and Ubisoft Connect, making the platform a bridge to higher-end hardware rather than a new storefront. For Indian users, that means a free trial path, midrange flexibility, and a premium option now sit under one cloud gaming roof.
