Motorola Razr Fold Stands Out With 164 DXOMARK Camera and 6,000 mAh Battery

Motorola has placed the Razr Fold in a rare position for a premium foldable. Instead of forcing buyers to choose between imaging, battery life, and display quality, the device arrives with all three areas pushed hard.

The company also appears confident enough to frame the phone as a serious challenger in the foldable segment. In Indonesia, Motorola Product Portfolio Head Zulfahmi said camera quality was one of the main reasons the company felt ready to launch the device in Jakarta.

Camera hardware built for the top tier

The Razr Fold is promoted as the first-place foldable and flip smartphone in DXOMARK testing, with a camera score of 164. Its triple 50 MP system includes a main camera with a Sony LYTIA 828 sensor, a Sony LYTIA 600 periscope telephoto camera, and a 50 MP ultrawide camera.

The phone also supports 8K video recording through the main camera, while all three sensors can record up to 4K. Slow motion at 4K 120 fps is available as well, and Dolby Vision is supported on the main and periscope cameras.

Motorola says the combination of Dolby Vision and the Sony LYTIA 828 sensor delivers dynamic range up to six times wider than conventional camera systems.

Display, battery, and performance go beyond the usual foldable formula

Battery capacity is another major talking point. At 6,000 mAh, the Razr Fold exceeds many premium foldables that still sit around the 4,800 mAh to 5,000 mAh range.

The battery supports 80-watt wired charging and 50-watt wireless charging. Motorola says large capacity remains a priority because the benefit continues to matter throughout long-term use.

Its outer pOLED display measures 6.6 inches and reaches a 165 Hz refresh rate, which is higher than many competitors that still use 120 Hz panels. The cover screen also offers a 2,520 x 1,080 pixel resolution, a 21:9 aspect ratio, 6,000-nit peak brightness, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, and a 10-bit panel.

Inside, the main LTPO 2K display measures 8.1 inches with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 6,200-nit peak brightness. The difference in panel size and brightness gives the device a strong visual profile in both folded and open use.

Display Section Size Refresh Rate Peak Brightness
Cover pOLED display 6.6 inches 165 Hz 6,000 nits
Main LTPO 2K display 8.1 inches 120 Hz 6,200 nits

Built for durability and productivity

Motorola uses a titanium-reinforced hinge to address one of the most important wear points in a foldable phone. The device also includes water protection against pressure and submersion, and Motorola adds a protective case in the retail box to help guard the screen and camera module.

Under the hood, the Razr Fold runs on Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 paired with 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 4.1 storage. Motorola says the phone reaches around 3.2 million points on AnTuTu, while a vapor chamber of about 6,200 square millimeters is used to stabilize temperatures.

Moto AI is integrated with Gemini to support on-device AI features. The phone also expands multitasking with side-by-side view, free window support, resizable app windows, and three-finger split-screen gestures.

For more laptop-like use, the device can place video or documents on the upper display when folded partially, while the lower portion becomes a control panel, keyboard, or trackpad. The system can also adjust the layout based on the folding angle, and Motorola completes the entertainment setup with Sound by Bose and Dolby Atmos.

Productivity Feature Main Function
Side-by-side view Opens two apps next to each other
Free window Uses and resizes app windows
Laptop mode Top screen for content, bottom screen for controls

Price and launch offer in Indonesia

In Indonesia, the Motorola Razr Fold sells for around Rp25.5 million. It is available in two color options, including Pantone Deli White with a silk-inspired finish.

During the July 13-20, 2026 promotion period, buyers can receive bonuses worth up to Rp10.7 million. The package includes a Moto Watch, Moto Buds, up to 120 GB of XL data, a Rp800,000 Mister Aladin hotel voucher, premium entertainment services, digital subscriptions, and screen crack protection.

With its 164 DXOMARK camera score, 6,000 mAh battery, 165 Hz cover display, and flagship-class performance, the Razr Fold is positioned as one of Motorola’s most aggressive entries in the premium foldable market. Zulfahmi said the phone has a highly competitive position thanks to its camera sensor, large battery, and bright display.
