Audiotech is pairing vehicle lamps priced from below Rp 1 million with a warranty of up to two years after purchase in Indonesia. The offer forms part of a broader expansion in the country’s automotive aftermarket sector.
The company plans to invest about US$ 30 million over three years. The funding is intended for product research and development, stronger domestic production, and business-process digitalisation.
Warranty and price become key selling points
The lighting range is priced from below Rp 1 million to about Rp 1.5 million. This places affordability alongside product durability in Audiotech’s effort to compete in Indonesia’s automotive market.
Audiotech says its lighting products are positioned around high brightness, efficient electricity use, and longer service life. All products are said to undergo rigorous testing before reaching the market to keep defect levels low.
The company is preparing more than a single type of vehicle lamp. Its planned portfolio includes head lamps, fog lamps, grille lights, brake lights, cabin lights, turn signals, and other lighting products.
| Product Category | Types Mentioned | Role in the Range |
|---|---|---|
| Head lamps | 6 to 8 types | Main vehicle lighting options |
| Fog lamps | 7 types | Additional lighting category |
| Grille lights | 4 types | Part of the lighting selection |
| Supporting lamps | Number not stated | Brake, cabin, turn-signal, and other lamps |
Lighting tuned for local road conditions
Audiotech currently offers a 6,000 Kelvin colour temperature that produces bright white light. It also plans a 5,700 Kelvin variant with a slightly more yellow tone that is considered more comfortable in rainy conditions.
Both white and yellow light choices are expected to use the same electricity consumption. The company’s stated aim is to offer different lighting characteristics without changing a vehicle’s power requirement.
Indonesia’s right-hand-drive vehicle configuration is a key consideration for the company. Lighting standards vary from country to country, making it unsuitable to market the same lamp specification in every market.
Business Director of Audiotech Asia Pasifik, Arman Soebroto, said Indonesia is a strategic market for the Guangzhou, China-based company. According to Beritasatu, he said, “All brands must comply with the regulations in each country. For our lamps, we use blue lens technology designed according to the needs of the Indonesian market.”
The company also sees a local preference for simple or flat lamp designs. Such shapes are considered easier for users to install and adjust on their vehicles.
Expansion beyond vehicle lighting
Beyond lighting, Audiotech is preparing Android-based grille lights, car-wash fluid, window film, wipers, and horns included under Conpex. These products broaden the company’s planned automotive aftermarket offering.
The US$ 30 million investment is also intended to expand production capacity in Indonesia. Local manufacturing and digitalisation are central to Audiotech’s strategy for extending its automotive aftermarket products to Indonesian consumers.
The combination of lower entry pricing, a warranty of up to two years, and products adapted for right-hand-drive vehicles defines the company’s approach. Audiotech is seeking to build its presence while maintaining competitive pricing in Indonesia.
