Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra Is Not a Rp5.499.000 Tablet—and It Has No 5G

The Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra is being confused with a much less expensive model, creating incorrect expectations over both price and connectivity. The Rp5.499.000 price applies to the Xiaomi Pad 7 standard with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, not the Ultra version.

A second claim about overheating while using 5G is also misplaced. The Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra is a Wi-Fi-only tablet with neither a physical SIM slot nor eSIM support.

A Premium Tablet in a Different Price Class

The Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra is positioned as a 14-inch ultra-flagship tablet for demanding productivity tasks. Its market position places it closer to premium large-screen tablet rivals such as the iPad Pro and Samsung Galaxy Tab Ultra.

International pricing for the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra is listed at around 700 EUR before tax. In Indonesian e-commerce listings, imported CN ROM units have been seen between Rp19 million and Rp22 million.

Techno.viva.co.id reported that Xiaomi Indonesia sells the standard Xiaomi Pad 7 8GB/256GB model for Rp5.499.000. The substantial difference shows that Ultra is not simply a storage or memory variation of the regular Pad 7.

Buyers considering an imported unit should also take account of the CN ROM designation. The reported imported pricing is separate from the price of the standard model sold by Xiaomi Indonesia.

No Cellular Modem Behind the 5G Heat Claim

The absence of cellular support is central to understanding the reported 5G overheating rumor. Without a 5G modem, the tablet cannot experience thermal throttling caused by cellular network use.

Its wireless connectivity consists of Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Users who need internet access away from home or an office will require a separate solution, such as a hotspot from another device.

Large AMOLED Screen and Xring O1 Processor

The device features a 14-inch AMOLED display with a 3.2K resolution of 2,136 x 3,200 pixels. It also supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 4,800Hz PWM dimming, and peak brightness of up to 1,600 nits.

Processing is handled by the Xiaomi Xring O1, Xiaomi’s first self-developed 3 nm chipset with a 10-core configuration. The tablet runs Android 15 based on HyperOS 2.

International technology reviewers cited by techno.viva.co.id, including Notebookcheck, assessed its thermal performance as consistent. Its 5.1 mm aluminum unibody chassis also acts as a natural heat-dissipation surface.

Battery, Storage, and Multimedia Features

The Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra carries a 12,000 mAh battery and supports 120W charging. Thermal management remains relevant during extended productivity sessions because the device combines a large battery with a thin body.

Memory options include 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage up to 1TB. There is no MicroSD card slot for storage expansion.

For media and communication, the tablet includes an eight-speaker stereo system with Hi-Res Audio certification. Its cameras consist of a 50 MP f/1.8 rear camera and a 32 MP front camera.

The Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra is therefore aimed at users seeking a premium Wi-Fi tablet with a large display and high-end hardware. Its price and lack of cellular connectivity should be considered separately from the standard Xiaomi Pad 7.
