Motorola Edge 70 Max has gone on sale in India with an opening offer that reduces its effective price by Rs. 5,000. The handset combines that promotion with a 7,100mAh battery, a 144Hz AMOLED display, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset.
The large battery is paired with 90W wired charging, 25W wireless charging, and 5W wired reverse charging. These specifications place endurance and charging flexibility at the centre of the phone’s appeal.
A high-refresh QHD+ display
The phone uses a 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED display with a QHD+ resolution of 1,440 x 3,168 pixels. It supports a 144Hz refresh rate, touch sampling of up to 360Hz, and a pixel density of 510ppi.
Motorola lists peak brightness of up to 7,000 nits for the panel. The display is one of the main differentiators for the model within the Edge 70 series, which now includes five devices.
Processor, software, and durability
The Motorola Edge 70 Max runs on the 3nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor with up to 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM. Both versions sold in India include 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
It ships with Android 16-based Hello UI. Motorola has promised three years of operating system updates and five years of security updates for the handset.
The device carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. Its connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, USB Type-C, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, NavIC, BeiDou, and QZSS.
Opening prices in India
Motorola is selling the phone in two memory configurations, both with 256GB of internal storage. Gadgets 360 reported that the introductory benefit applies through either an instant bank discount or an exchange bonus.
| Configuration | Regular Price | Effective Price With Offer |
|---|---|---|
| 8GB + 256GB | Rs. 54,999 | Rs. 49,999 |
| 12GB + 256GB | Rs. 59,999 | Rs. 54,999 |
Buyers must choose between the Rs. 5,000 instant bank discount and the exchange benefit, as the offers were not stated to be stackable. Select bank partners also provide no-cost instalments for up to 18 months.
The Edge 70 Max is available via Flipkart and Motorola’s online store. Colour choices are Pantone Aqua Gray, Pantone Dark Shadow, and Pantone Ice Melt.
50MP Sony camera system
The rear camera setup is led by a 50MP main camera using the Sony LYT-710 sensor. It is joined by an 8MP ultra-wide camera, while a 32MP front camera handles selfies and video calls.
The handset follows the Edge 70, Edge 70 Fusion, Edge 70 Pro, and Edge 70 Pro+ as the fifth model in Motorola’s latest Edge 70 lineup. Its package combines flagship-oriented processing, display hardware, and a notably large 7,100mAh battery.
Jio benefits for eligible users
Eligible Jio customers who recharge with a Rs. 349 or higher Jio 5G plan can receive Google Gemini Pro access and 5TB of Jio AI Cloud storage for 18 months. The offer is separate from the handset’s bank and exchange purchase benefits.
Those customers can also subscribe to Jio OTT Pass for Rs. 200 per month. The package offers access to more than 15 premium streaming applications and over 1,000 live television channels on mobile devices.
