A possible 10,000mAh battery is the most striking detail surrounding the unannounced Redmi Note 17 Pro Max. The handset has now appeared in Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission, or NBTC, database.
The regulatory listing suggests that Xiaomi may be preparing another Redmi Note 17 model for markets outside China. It does not, however, reveal a launch date, pricing, or the countries where the phone will be sold.
Two Redmi Note 17 Models Appear in Thailand
The NBTC database lists the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max under model number 2609FRA74G. It appears alongside the standard Redmi Note 17, which carries model number 26081RA18G.

Rumored Hardware Raises the Stakes
Gadgets360 reports that the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max may use MediaTek’s Dimensity 7500 chipset. The same report says the phone could feature a 200MP main camera using Samsung’s ISOCELL S5KHP5 sensor.
The rear camera system may also include an 8MP ultra-wide camera. For selfies and video calls, the device is rumored to carry a 32MP front-facing camera.
None of these specifications has been confirmed by Xiaomi. The reported 10,000mAh battery capacity should therefore be treated as a rumor rather than a final product claim.
What the China Model Reveals
The standard Redmi Note 17 was launched in China earlier this month with prices starting at CNY 1,299. It runs Android 16 with HyperOS 3 and features a 7-inch OLED display.
That version uses the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor and has a single 50MP rear camera. Its front camera has an 8MP resolution, while the body carries an IP65 rating.
For charging, the China model supports 45W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging. It has an 8,000mAh battery, which is smaller than the capacity rumored for the Pro Max variant.
The contrast between the confirmed China model and the reported Pro Max details points to a potentially higher-tier addition to the series. Xiaomi has yet to clarify the phone’s commercial name, final configuration, or global availability.
For now, the NBTC entry is the clearest sign that the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max could be moving closer to an international debut. Further confirmation will depend on Xiaomi’s official announcement.
