Xiaomi Redmi Pad Outperforms iPad Mini with AnTuTu Score Surpassing 2.8 Million

Xiaomi has just launched the Redmi Pad, a tablet designed to challenge premium competitors. It achieved a remarkable AnTuTu Benchmark score of 2.8 million, ranking first among Android tablets and outperforming the latest flagship smartphones.

The Redmi Pad sports an 8.8-inch 3K resolution display with a 165 Hz refresh rate. This is significantly higher than the iPad Mini 7’s 60 Hz, offering a smoother visual experience comparable to high-end gaming tablets like the Legion Y700 Gen 4.

Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 Plus chipset, the tablet uses a 3 nm fabrication process. Its octa-core CPU reaches up to 3.73 GHz, while the 12-core Immortalis G925 GPU handles heavy games smoothly and efficiently.

Gaming tests show excellent performance on demanding titles. Wuthering Waves runs at a stable 58 fps on a 60 fps preset without lag. PUBG Mobile supports ultra extreme settings at 120 fps, delivering seamless gameplay suitable for competitive gaming.

The device also supports Mobile Legends at 120 fps with no frame drops during intense team fights. Overall, it provides a no-compromise gaming experience within a mid-range price segment.

Thermal management is handled by a 12.05 mm wide vapor cooling system. This keeps the device temperature at a comfortable 42 degrees Celsius after an hour of gaming, preventing overheating. Dual speakers with Dolby Atmos enhance audio quality for immersive sound, even without headphones.

Additional features include bypass charging, allowing the tablet to be used while charging without overheating concerns. The Redmi Pad features dual USB-C ports, one for charging and the other supporting display output to external monitors.

On the software side, Xiaomi HyperOS 2 based on Android 15 runs smoothly on this tablet. Users can manually install Google Play Store, enabling full access to Android apps. Productivity is boosted by split-screen mode and workstation mode, which mimics laptop multitasking efficiency.

Integration with other Xiaomi devices is seamless. File transfers and device control become convenient in a connected ecosystem, strengthening the user’s workflow across Xiaomi products.

The Redmi Pad houses a 7,500 mAh battery capable of lasting multiple hours under heavy use. Gaming tests reveal a 20% battery drain after an hour of playing Wuthering Waves. Fast charging at 67W fills the battery in about 60 minutes, which is fast for this large capacity.

For photography, it features a 13 MP rear camera that records 4K video at 30 fps with good color and detail for a tablet. The 8 MP front camera supports full HD 30 fps video calls and online meetings, suitable for everyday communication needs.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7 with dual antennas that maintain strong signals through walls. Bluetooth 5.4 is included for wireless accessory support. However, the Redmi Pad does not offer cellular connectivity and is Wi-Fi only.

Stylus and keyboard accessories are supported but sold separately, enhancing input options for productivity tasks. The tablet’s dual USB-C ports allow flexible accessory connections, including external displays.

The Redmi Pad delivers a premium experience at an affordable price. In China, the 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage variant sells for about $430 USD. It outperforms the iPad Mini 7 in display, performance, and gaming capabilities, making it an attractive alternative for consumers seeking high performance without the premium price tag.
