Oppo has officially launched the Reno 15 series in China, targeting the mid-range premium smartphone market. The new models highlight a remarkable 200MP main camera and large battery capacity, appealing to photography enthusiasts and power users alike.
The Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro come equipped with a 200MP main sensor measuring 1/1.56 inches, supported by optical image stabilization (OIS) for smoother video recording and sharper photos. Additional rear cameras include a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom and a 50MP ultra-wide lens, offering versatile shooting options.
For selfie and video calling, both phones feature a high-resolution 50MP front camera, designed to deliver detailed and vibrant images. Oppo equips the device with the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset, fabricated using a 4nm process to enhance power efficiency and performance. The smartphones run Android 16 with ColorOS 16, which brings improved customization features and enhanced security.
Display and Design
The standard Reno 15 sports a 6.32-inch flat OLED display, while the Reno 15 Pro offers a larger 6.78-inch panel. Both screens support a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and deliver high peak brightness for better outdoor visibility. The design blends cold-carved glass with a metal frame, producing a premium feel in hand.
Color options include Aurora Blue, Canelé Brown, and Starlight for the base model, with Honey Gold exclusive to the Pro version. Additionally, both devices carry dust and water resistance certifications: IP66, IP68, and IP69 — a sign of Oppo’s commitment to durability.
Battery Life and Charging
The Reno 15 packs a 6,200 mAh battery, supporting fast wired charging at 80W. The Reno 15 Pro steps up with a 6,500 mAh battery, also supporting 80W wired charging plus 50W wireless charging. A notable feature in the Pro model is bypass charging, allowing the phone to operate directly from the power adapter during charging sessions, ideal for gaming without slowing the charge speed.
