The Realme C85 Series is set to launch in Indonesia on November 26, 2025. This new entry-level smartphone line highlights an industry-first feature: the IP69 Pro certification, which promises exceptional durability against liquids.

The IP69 Pro standard is more advanced than typical certifications, combining four protection levels into one. Realme claims the C85 Series can withstand 36 different liquids such as water, coffee, oil, milk, and even gasoline. Users can submerge the device in water up to 0.5 meters deep for as long as 60 days without damage.

“Normally, IP69 certification handles up to 80 degrees Celsius,” explained Krisva Angnieszca, PR Lead for Realme Indonesia, during a hands-on event in Jakarta. “But IP69 Pro endures boiling temperatures, making it far more extreme and durable.” This ruggedness could be a major selling point among budget-conscious consumers seeking reliable devices.

The series consists of two models: the Realme C85 and the C85 Pro. This marks the first time a “Pro” variant is introduced in Realme’s C-Series lineup. Both smartphones focus on high battery capacity and durable design, targeting users who require long-lasting performance on a budget.

The Realme C85 Series packs a 7,000mAh battery utilizing carbon silicon technology. This battery can reportedly support up to 19 hours of video streaming and 16 hours of chatting. Additionally, it supports 10W reverse charging, allowing the phone to function as a power bank for other devices.

Realme also integrates a Bionic Repair System, which the company says guarantees battery quality for up to six years. This longevity feature is uncommon in entry-level smartphones and might appeal to buyers looking for dependable daily use.

Display technology varies across the models. The standard Realme C85 sports a 144Hz IPS panel with peak brightness of 1,200 nits. Meanwhile, the C85 Pro features a first-ever AMOLED display in the C-Series with a 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive brightness level reaching 4,000 nits.

Camera capabilities on both phones center on a 50MP main sensor enhanced with artificial intelligence features. These include AI Edit Genie for creative photo adjustments, AI Outdoor Mode for improved shots in natural light, and AI Livephoto to animate images for more dynamic visuals.

Color options for the Realme C85 are Parrot Purple, Kingfisher Blue, and Swan Black. The Pro version will be available in Parrot Purple and Peacock Green. Realme has yet to disclose final specifications or pricing details, which will be officially announced at the launch event.

The Realme C85 Series’ combination of industry-first water and liquid resistance, large battery capacity, and an AMOLED display option positions it as a standout in the entry-level smartphone market. The upcoming launch on November 26 will reveal whether these features translate into competitive pricing and real-world appeal in Indonesia.
