Redmi 15C 5G Launches with Budget-Friendly Features and Affordable Design

Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi 15C 5G in India, targeting budget-conscious consumers seeking a reliable 5G smartphone. After debuting in several European markets, the device arrives with a large display, long-lasting battery, and solid performance at an affordable price.

The Redmi 15C 5G features a 6.9-inch waterdrop display with a 1600 × 720 HD+ resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate, enhancing smoothness during social media browsing and app navigation. The screen brightness reaches 660 nits and can peak at 810 nits using High Brightness Mode (HBM), making it comfortable for outdoor use. Xiaomi has also equipped the display with TÜV Rheinland certifications — including Low Blue Light, Flicker Free, and Circadian Friendly — plus DC Dimming to reduce eye strain.

Performance and Software

At the core, the phone runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G chipset built on a 6nm process, providing good power efficiency. The GPU is a Mali-G57 MC2, and users can choose from three RAM options: 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB LPDDR4X. Internal storage clocks in at 128GB with UFS 2.2 speed, expandable up to 1TB via a dedicated microSD slot. Additionally, Redmi 15C 5G offers RAM expansion up to 16GB through storage allocation, improving multitasking capabilities. It ships with HyperOS 2 based on Android 15, with Xiaomi committing to two years of OS upgrades and four years of security patches.

Camera Capabilities

Photography-wise, the handset has a dual-camera setup led by a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. The camera supports Ultra HD mode, night shots, portrait mode, and time-lapse recording. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera capable of 1080p video recording at 30fps, suitable for video calls and selfies.

Battery and Charging

One of Redmi 15C 5G’s main selling points is its large 6000mAh battery. Xiaomi claims it can last up to 107 hours of music playback and over 28 hours of social media use. The device supports 33W fast charging, with the appropriate adapter included in the box. It also features 10W reverse wired charging, allowing the phone to act as an emergency power bank for other gadgets.

Additional Features

The device comes with an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance, enhancing its durability in everyday use. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security, a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual SIM slots, Bluetooth 5.4, dual-band Wi-Fi, FM radio, and a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer.

Redmi 15C 5G is competitively priced in India across three variants:
