Xiaomi has officially launched the global Redmi Note 15 series with five new models. Among them, the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G stand out by featuring significantly larger batteries compared to their predecessors.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro is equipped with a 6,500 mAh battery. Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G offers a 6,580 mAh silicon–carbon battery for enhanced energy efficiency.
Both models support 45W wired fast charging. Additionally, reverse wired charging has been upgraded, with the 5G variant providing up to 22.5W and the 4G model up to 18W reverse charging capabilities.
In terms of design, both phones feature flat AMOLED displays. The Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G sports a larger 6.83-inch 1.5K resolution screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro has a slightly smaller 6.77-inch AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution and the same 120Hz refresh rate. Both screens support 12-bit color output and can reach a peak brightness of up to 3,200 nits for better outdoor visibility.
Touch responsiveness differs between the models. The 5G variant has a high touch sampling rate of 480Hz, double the 240Hz found on the 4G version. Dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos enhance the multimedia experience on both devices.
Durability has also been improved. Redmi Note 15 Pro boasts an IP65 rating for water and dust resistance, which is an upgrade from the previous IP64. The Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G excels with IP68 and IP69K ratings, offering strong protection against harsh environmental factors.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro runs on a MediaTek Helio G200-Ultra chipset. The Pro 5G version is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400-Ultra processor. Both models offer configurations with 8GB or 12GB of RAM, paired with 256GB or 512GB of internal storage.
Camera setups on both phones use a 200MP main sensor (ISOCELL S5KHPE). The difference lies in their ultrawide lenses: 8MP OV08F10 for the 5G model and 8MP GC08A8 for the 4G variant.
Selfie cameras also vary. Redmi Note 15 Pro comes with a 32MP front camera, while the Pro 5G features a 20MP shooter.
Both smartphones run on Xiaomi’s latest HyperOS 2.0 based on Android 15. This OS introduces AI-powered tools such as AI Erase Pro to remove unwanted objects, AI Remove Reflection, AI Image Expansion, and AI Image Enhancement for photo quality improvement.
Available colors for Redmi Note 15 Pro include Titanium, Glacier Blue, and Black. The 5G model adds Mist Purple as an option.
Pricing starts at approximately $377 USD (€349) for the Redmi Note 15 Pro with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The Pro 5G version begins at about $431 USD (€399) for the same RAM and storage configuration. The 512GB storage option for the 5G model is priced around $463 USD (€429).
Pre-orders for these models are set to begin on January 5, 2026. Xiaomi’s strategy to enhance battery life, display quality, and durability reaffirms its position in the competitive mid-range smartphone market.
