Advan Macha is poised to compete strongly in the Indonesian smartphone market in early 2026. This device features the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 5G chipset, making it the first smartphone in Indonesia to use this chip.
With a sleek design, the phone measures only 7.2mm in thickness and weighs 173 grams. It delivers solid performance powered by 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, targeting users who want speed and efficiency in daily tasks.
The Advan Macha sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Its sharp, vibrant screen also includes an in-display fingerprint sensor for convenient security.
For photography, the device offers a 50MP primary camera equipped with the Sony IMX752 sensor, capable of recording 2K video. However, it lacks an ultrawide lens, and the front camera is limited to 8MP, which may disappoint selfie enthusiasts.
The battery capacity is 5000mAh, paired with 33W fast charging. This is relatively smaller compared to the current market trend where most competitors offer 6000mAh batteries. Despite this, the battery is sufficient for daily use with fast recharge support.
Advan includes a variety of connectivity features such as 5G, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, and even an infrared blaster for added convenience. The device also supports Dual SIM 5G and comes with a gyroscope hardware sensor.
The phone runs on DiDo OS based on Android 15, incorporating AI capabilities like Gemini AI and AI SmartPad. These features help enhance multitasking, content creation, and personalized user experiences.
The physical design is another highlight, with a premium finish that is lightweight and comfortable to hold for long hours. However, the speaker setup is mono, which results in less than ideal audio quality for media consumption.
Another point of concern is the unclear update policy. Prospective buyers have no official word on long-term software support or security updates, which can affect the device’s future usability.
In the sales package, Advan provides a 33W charger and a protective case out of the box, adding value for consumers. The phone is priced at around Rp 2.9 million, equivalent to approximately $190 USD, making it a competitive choice in the mid-range segment.
Overall, Advan Macha targets Gen-Z users who seek a balance of style, performance, and affordable pricing. While it excels in display quality, camera main sensor, and performance, it falls short in battery capacity, speaker audio, and front camera capabilities.
