Realme 16 Pro Global Launch Announced, Coming Soon to Your Region

Realme officially launched its new Realme 16 series globally, beginning with the Indian market. The series introduces two flagship models: Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro+. Both devices bring significant upgrades, especially in camera technology and display features.

The key highlight of the Realme 16 Pro series is the integration of a 200 MP primary camera sensor. This represents a leap forward from previous generations and leverages Sony’s HP5 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) for enhanced photo and video clarity. The camera setup also includes an 8 MP ultra-wide lens on both models. The higher-end Realme 16 Pro+ adds a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens providing 3.5x optical zoom.

Design and Display Innovations
Realme continues to emphasize design with the 16 series, adopting the Urban Wild Design philosophy crafted by renowned Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa. This yields a sleek and premium look with new textures.

Both phones feature AMOLED screens with a 1.5K resolution and a high refresh rate of 144Hz. Their displays offer exceptional brightness levels reaching up to 6,500 nits and support wide color gamut DCI-P3 for vivid colors. The Realme 16 Pro sports a flat 6.78-inch display, while the 16 Pro+ opts for a 6.8-inch curved screen, enhancing the immersive experience.

Performance and Hardware
Under the hood, Realme splits the performance lineup with different chipsets. The Realme 16 Pro runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 Max, targeting a balance of efficiency and power for midrange users. The Realme 16 Pro+ is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, aiming for higher performance and gaming capabilities.

Both models come with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and support Dynamic RAM expansion up to 14GB. The internal storage uses UFS 3.1 technology, offering fast data transfer speeds with options up to 256GB on the Pro model and up to 512GB on the Pro+.

Battery and Software Features
Realme equips these devices with robust 7,000 mAh batteries, promising up to two days of usage on a single charge. Complementing this capacity is an 80W fast charging technology enabling rapid top-ups.

On the software front, the series runs Realme UI 7 based on Android 16, ensuring the user interface is up-to-date and optimized. The company has committed to providing three OS upgrades and four years of security updates, emphasizing longevity and user security.

Key additional features include:

  1. In-display fingerprint sensors for convenient and secure unlocking.
