Edifier has officially launched its latest Bluetooth speaker, the M330 II, targeting audio enthusiasts who appreciate a blend of retro design and modern technology. Priced at approximately $138, this speaker offers significant improvements over its predecessor in both form and function. It is now available in China and aims to attract users looking for a stylish yet high-performance audio device.
The M330 II stands out with its classic aesthetic, available in three finishes: wood fiber, black walnut, and pearl white. Its all-wood MDF cabinet, 12 mm thick, reduces unwanted resonance to produce cleaner sound. The front features a two-tone fabric grill and piano-style control buttons that enhance its elegant look. A hidden handle on the back allows for easy portability without compromising the design’s visual appeal.
Audio Quality and Architecture
Edifier equips the M330 II with a 2.1-channel sound system consisting of two 1-inch silk dome tweeters and a 4-inch composite wool mid-bass driver. This configuration achieves high-frequency detail up to 40 kHz, meeting the Hi-Res Audio standard for both wired and wireless playback. The speaker is powered by two Texas Instruments TAS5805 Class-D amplifier chips, delivering a continuous output of 60 watts and peak power up to 120 watts.
According to Edifier, the M330 II can fill rooms up to 50 square meters with even sound distribution. This makes it suitable not only for personal use but also for small to medium gatherings or events.
Advanced Connectivity Features
Connectivity has seen a significant upgrade in the M330 II. It supports the LDAC Bluetooth codec with bitrate up to 990 kbps for high-resolution 24-bit/96 kHz audio streaming, catering to audiophiles demanding top-tier wireless sound quality. Bluetooth 5.4 enables simultaneous connection to two devices, allowing users to seamlessly switch between audio sources.
Moreover, for users integrated in the Apple ecosystem, the M330 II includes AirPlay 2 compatibility over dual-band Wi-Fi, ensuring stable, low-latency streaming from iPhones, iPads, or Macs. Wired connections are also supported via AUX input, USB sound card, and a USB port that doubles as a charging outlet.
Battery Life and User Convenience
The speaker contains a lithium battery rated at 38.48 Wh (7.4V, 5200 mAh) which provides up to 14 hours of playtime at moderate volume levels. Even at higher volumes, it continues to operate for around 11 hours, making it reliable for extended use without frequent recharging.
Users can further personalize their listening experience using the Edifier Connect app. This software allows adjusting the equalizer, changing input sources, updating firmware, and setting usage timers. The M330 II’s compact dimensions of 250 x 162 x 179 mm offer portability without sacrificing sound performance.
Edifier’s Growing Product Line
In addition to the M330 II, Edifier has recently expanded its product portfolio with innovative devices such as the Hecate Air 3 Commander open-ear gaming headset, supporting 2.4G and Bluetooth 6.0, and the Auro Clip earbuds featuring AI-powered translation, up to 35 hours of battery life, and Bluetooth 6.1.
Edifier’s commitment to innovation and quality audio solutions is clearly reflected in the M330 II speaker. Its classic design, powerful sound output, and modern connectivity options like LDAC and AirPlay 2 provide an attractive offering for those who want both style and substance in their audio devices.
