The hinge mechanism uses a zero-contact design that minimizes physical stress when folding. The frame combines Ultra-High Strength Steel 3.0 rated at 2350 MPa and aviation-grade aluminum with a 37% strength upgrade. These materials ensure extended durability for repeated folding and unfolding.
Mate X7 also carries IP58 and IP59 certifications for water and dust resistance. It can survive submersion up to 2 meters deep and high-pressure water sprays at temperatures as high as 80°C (176°F). The Wet Touch feature keeps the screen responsive even when wet.
