Oppo’s upcoming Find X9 Ultra is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about premium phones of the year, thanks to a leak that reveals a far more complete picture of the device. The latest information comes from a China Telecom listing that briefly went live before being pulled, then resurfaced through tipster Anvin on X, with Oppo itself also confirming some camera details.
The leak points to a phone built around a major camera upgrade, a large 7,050 mAh battery, and a refreshed design that looks different from previous Oppo flagships. If the information proves accurate, the Find X9 Ultra could arrive as Oppo’s most ambitious imaging-focused model yet.
A new look for Oppo’s top-tier flagship
The leaked images show the Oppo Find X9 Ultra in an orange finish with a textured back panel that resembles fine sand-like streaks. That approach gives the phone a more distinctive identity than many premium models that often rely on plain glossy or matte surfaces.
The rear camera housing also appears to be redesigned. Instead of the more circular layout used on earlier generations, the new model seems to feature a rounded hexagonal shape inside a large rear module.
Speaker grilles are visible on both the top and bottom edges, which suggests Oppo is still prioritizing multimedia playback on its highest-end device. The lower frame also appears to include a USB-C port, SIM tray, and microphone openings, while the right side reportedly holds the power button, volume keys, and a dedicated camera control panel.
According to Anvin, the phone may ship in Glacier Ice, Desert Silver, and Earth Brown color options. It is still unclear whether the orange unit shown in the leak is the Earth Brown variant or an additional colorway.
Display, size, and durability
The China Telecom listing suggests the Find X9 Ultra will use a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It is also said to include an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the panel, which has become a common premium feature on high-end Android phones.
The device is reportedly sized at 163.04 x 76.91 x 9.15 mm and weighs around 238 grams. That puts it in the expected range for a flagship with a large camera system and a high-capacity battery inside.
Durability also appears to be a priority. The leak points to IP68 and IP69 certification, meaning the phone should offer strong resistance against dust and water exposure. That level of protection is increasingly important in the premium smartphone segment.
Performance points to a true flagship
Under the hood, the Find X9 Ultra is said to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The processor would be paired with LPDDR5X RAM of up to 16GB and UFS 4.1 storage reaching 1TB.
The software side is expected to be based on Android 16 with ColorOS 16 on top. If accurate, that would allow Oppo to launch the device with one of the newest Android versions available at the time of release.
This combination suggests the Find X9 Ultra is not just being built for camera fans, but also for users who want a top-spec device for gaming, multitasking, and long-term performance.
The camera system is the main attraction
The biggest attention is clearly on the camera setup. The leak says the phone will carry four rear cameras, all tuned with Hasselblad, continuing Oppo’s strategy of linking its flagship imaging work with the Swedish photography brand.
The rumored configuration includes:
- 200MP Sony LYT-901 main camera
- 200MP OmniVision OV52A periscope camera with 3x zoom
- 50MP Samsung JNL periscope camera with 3x zoom
- 50MP ultra-wide camera
The front camera is said to be a 50MP sensor. Oppo has also been linked to a Hasselblad Teleconverter Kit rated at 300mm, which would further expand the phone’s long-distance shooting capabilities.
Oppo itself has already confirmed a Hasselblad 200MP ultra-sensing main camera. The company claims this sensor improves light capture by about 10 percent compared with the Find X8 Ultra.
Oppo also confirmed a 50MP periscope camera with 10x optical zoom and an equivalent focal length of around 230mm. Another 200MP periscope unit is said to improve light intake by 36 percent, which could help low-light telephoto performance.
Battery and charging could be another major selling point
The leaked battery capacity is unusually large for a flagship device. At 7,050 mAh, the Find X9 Ultra would sit far above many rivals that still remain below the 6,000 mAh mark.
Charging support also looks impressive, with 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging mentioned in the leak. That would help offset the large battery size and keep refill times competitive for a device with such demanding hardware.
With a large display, advanced camera hardware, and a battery this big, the Find X9 Ultra is clearly being positioned as more than a routine yearly upgrade. It looks like Oppo is aiming to make a strong statement in high-end mobile photography when the phone launches in China later this month.
