Anker Turns A Store Into An Experience Center, Serpong Store Changes How Tech Is Chosen

Anker Innovations has expanded its footprint in Indonesia with the opening of a new concept store at Summarecon Mall Serpong. The outlet is designed to go beyond a standard retail format and function as an integrated experience center where visitors can test products from Anker, Soundcore, and Eufy in one place.

The move comes as Indonesian consumers rely more heavily on digital devices for daily activities. With smartphone users in the country surpassing 194 million in 2024 and average daily usage exceeding six hours, demand continues to rise for products that are fast, practical, and dependable.

A retail space built for hands-on discovery

Anker is using the Serpong location to present a more interactive retail model. Instead of focusing only on product display, the store lets visitors experience how the brand’s technology works through direct demonstrations tied to everyday use cases.

The concept brings several product categories into one connected ecosystem. Shoppers can try Anker charging accessories and power banks, Soundcore audio devices, and Eufy smart home solutions during the same visit.

Flame Xia, Country Manager of Anker Innovations in Indonesia, said the store was created to bring technology closer to consumers. He emphasized that customers are not only seeing the products, but also understanding how they fit into daily routines.

Why the physical store still matters

The opening also reflects Anker’s broader omnichannel strategy in Indonesia. The brand has already built a strong presence in e-commerce, so a physical store adds another way for consumers to evaluate products before making a purchase.

Ridwan Hidayat, General Manager of Anker Indonesia at PT Integritas Dinamika Indonesia, said a physical space complements digital sales channels by helping consumers understand products more fully through direct experience. That approach matters in a market where buyers often compare specifications online but still want to test real-world performance first.

The store offers several hands-on activities that reinforce that strategy.

  1. Try charging products such as Anker Prime and Anker Solix.
  2. Test audio devices through the Soundcore Clip Series.
  3. Explore smart home products such as the eufy Robot Vacuum C28.
  4. Access Eufy unit drop-off service for repairs.

A wider expansion plan across Indonesia

Anker now operates more than 60 stores in Indonesia. The company is targeting an expansion to 100 new outlets by 2027, with plans that extend beyond Greater Jakarta to other major cities.

The next growth phase includes Surabaya, Bali, Medan, and Bandung, as well as strategic locations such as airports. This pattern suggests Anker wants to place its products and services closer to high-traffic consumer areas.

Opening promotions add momentum

To support the grand opening, Anker is offering promotional deals for visitors. The company is also providing discounts of up to 50 percent and a free Anker Zolo Charger valued at Rp119,000, or about $7.50, for purchases made between April 9 and April 30, 2026.

These offers strengthen the store’s position as more than a sales point. The combination of product demos, after-sales support, and limited-time promotions gives the concept store a different role from a typical electronics outlet.

A model that blends offline and online retail

Even with the new physical location, Anker continues to rely on its digital sales network. Official products remain available through Shopee, Tokopedia, TikTok Shop, and the brand’s website and social media channels in Indonesia.

That hybrid approach reflects a broader shift in consumer behavior. Buyers increasingly want the flexibility to research online, test products in person, and still access service support after purchase.

Anker’s new concept store in Serpong shows how a consumer electronics brand can adapt to that behavior by combining showroom-style discovery with practical service functions in one space.
